Conscription is the state-mandated enlistment of people in a national military service. In the U.S. the Select Service System drafted men for World War 1, World War 2 and Vietnam. Military service is currently not required in the U.S. Proponents of required service argue that it isn’t fair that a small percentage of Americans serve in the military to protect the rest of the population. Opponents argue that the requirement is unnecessary because modern warfare is fought less and less with ground troops and more with unmanned technology including drones.

Yes, every citizen should complete basic training and technical training via their military branch of choice, but then there should be a meeting with the citizen afterwards to determine what is the correct path forward for them.

Yes, increase to at least 3 years for those who do not seek employment or education as well as those who are starting to build a criminal record of 3 minor offenses and 1 major offense
@9R2XXLZRepublican10mos10MO
I personally believe that if the 18 year old is either starting to build up a criminal record or if he/she isn't interested in pursuing further education or employment then yes.

Yes, as stated in the Constitution by the right to life, liberty, and property, it is a right for American government to make American people be diligent and productive that when an American citizens has no interest in education or employment, they should be in the military as people who don’t want to be in education or employment are more likely to commit crime, be homeless, or be in poverty.
