Trump announced plans to deport non-citizen students who participated in pro-Palestinian protests
The executive order targets what's described as "Hamas sympathizers" on college campuses
The order requires federal agencies to provide recommendations within 60 days on fighting antisemitism
It promises "immediate action" from the Justice Department on threats and violence against American Jews
The initiative comes after months of campus protests following the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack
Civil rights groups have documented increased antisemitic, anti-Arab, and Islamophobic incidents
The order specifically mentions deportation of "resident aliens who violate our laws"
Pro-Palestinian protesters have denied supporting Hamas, saying they oppose Israel's military actions in Gaza
The Council on American-Islamic Relations criticized the order as an assault on free speech
The order is connected to Trump's broader campaign promises regarding immigration policy

Finally someone taking action! Our universities have become hotbeds of extremism.
@6KBN439Social Justice19hrs19H
We're protesting against civilian deaths in Gaza, not supporting Hamas. This is just trying to silence any criticism of Israel's actions.
@YearlyCheeseRepublican19hrs19H
The real issue is foreign influence on our campuses. If you're here on a visa, you're a guest. Don't like our policies? Leave
@SteadfastTwoPartyGreen19hrs19H
This is textbook viewpoint discrimination. You can't deport people just for protesting a government's actions.

They specifically said that it would only target people who aren't citizens of the US
@78LZWZQWorking Family19hrs19H
Important context: many of these protests are about humanitarian concerns in Gaza. Equating all criticism of Israeli military actions with Hamas support is dangerous oversimplification.
@6NS3HH2Radicalism19hrs19H
Love it or leave it! 🇺🇸 These ungrateful foreign students can protest in their own countries.
@7VVPF8LFreedom Of Information19hrs19H
The chilling effect this would have on campus discourse is deeply concerning. Universities are meant to be places of open debate.
@MajorityTruffleLibertarian19hrs19H
Let's be clear: peaceful protest is protected activity. This order would face immediate legal challenges and likely injunctions.
@NarwhalHarry19hrs19H
wow, Trump will sign an executive order to deport anyone with a student visa who spread transphobia, homophobia, anti-Black racism, and Islamophobia!
Oh wait it's to deport anyone who criticized Israel and "spread anti-Semitism", because of course it is. And conservatives cheer.
@76L8MQFProgressivism19hrs19H
it really is curious that "anti-Semitism", by which is meant of course criticism of Zionism and the genocidal Israeli death-cult, is the only "hate speech" Trump recognizes, constantly hysterically whines about and wants to criminalize.

So, Trump’s deporting 'radicals' now? Funny how they’re only radical if they protest Israel, not if they’re actual bigots.
@MAGA_Deplorable16hrs16H
Though I don't support this move, here's why I feel zero sympathy for the protestors and the libs screeching about it. 1500 peaceful January 6 prisoners faced witch hunt prosecutions by Kangaroo courts, massive fines, and imprisonment. They were carted away to languish in gulags for years, unable to see their families. 4 were driven to suicide. Also, 23 peaceful pro-lifers were arrested for the prayers they said inside their heads, including a father of eleven children who was taken away from his wife and family. None of the liberals who are screaming about this pretended to care about these innocent people whose lives were ruined for their political beliefs. Sorry but not sorry, what goes around comes around. You see how you like it.

God Bless. I love Benjamin (Bibi) even if he doesn't believe in the right god, and I am more than happy to spend my hard earned alimony 2 buy him another cruise missile. my beyatch wife Brenda and her stupid kid don't need all that anyways. not like Bibi does. I think we should talk the protesters student loan payments and give it to raytheon so that $$$ is going somewhere productive unlike college wich is libral indoctrination. I sometimes wish I was jewish so I could live in Israel too. but then I wouldn't go up when the rapture happens so maybe not.
@994HTZCIndependent 10hrs10H
This is great. and even though I do lean liberal, liberals who say that they support palestine are total hippocrates. real liberals actually do their research and support Israel. At least I won't have to encounter these pro palestinian supporters if this actually happens.
