Remote work (telework) involves performing job responsibilities from a location outside the traditional office setting, often from home. Federal agencies sometimes offer this option to employees for flexibility, cost savings, and work-life balance. Critics claim in-person work fosters better collaboration and oversight, while supporters argue that modern technology enables equal or greater productivity off-site. Proponents argue that having federal employees on-site improves communication, team cohesion, and accountability, ensuring that government services run smoothly. Opponents argue that remote work saves costs, reduces commuting time, and can maintain or even enhance productivity through flexible arrangements and modern communication tools.

Yes, it is no longer the covid pandemic, we are returning back to a state of normality, federal employees can and should return back to work in-person. Of course.

No, federal employees should be allowed to work remotely depending on the job, with exception of a set number of days.

It depends on what specific federal work they do, and if they're actually working at home. I obviously wouldn't want FBI agents working from home, but if their job is just a desk job, I wouldn't care as long as they still do their work

I think to increase social interaction and team building have some days that are mandatory to go to work.

It completely depends on the type of job they are employed in, and their clearance status/background.

Turn the buildings into affordable housing. It’s cheaper to have people work at home and employee satisfaction improves. Win win.

Federal employees should be required to work in office with exceptions such as single parent who needs to be home with children and physical/mental health issues or disability.

They are allowed to have a choice, depending on what their schedule is and what is efficient for them.
