Not if the vehicles don't have humans inside. This will increase traffic, not improve it. We need public transportation, including trains, light rail, and metro..

If autonomous vehicles become more prominent, then special lanes are the next logical step. Until then, no.

I think it's a double-edge sword. On one hand, it could keep the autonomous vehicles from possibly causing crashes, on the other, it could impede traffic and would be inefficient for all cities to be required to have them
