No This is not the solution. If you raise minimum waige evverything will just get more expensive en we'll be back from the start

 @932WMJJ from Kentucky  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but I think businesses should increase the minimum wage and make it a living wage; NOT the government. Minimum wage jobs are meant to develop experience and to support a family. But we must do whatever it takes to prevent inflation and skyrocketing prices.

For fast food workers, absolutely not! But depending on what job, then yes!!! Our Military should have the highest paying jobs and they definitely DO NOT!!!

No because people who went to college worked their butts off just to get $15 and people who didn't go to school are just being handed money for not finishing school or having low skills

If you increase minimum wage, raise the already employed the same percentage as you do minimum wage. There is no reason an entry level employee should make the same as a senior employee!

@JollyRelish9MO

Studies and trials in other countries has shown the production by employees has increased under the 32 hour work model and companies results have increased.

Imagine being against this and wanting to work 40 hours. You know it’ll apply to you as well right?

@SomberUnanimous9MO

There shouldn’t be a standard or overtime or minimum wage. Let me and an employee or employer talk and agree on terms then go from there. It’s not rocket science.

@JollyRelish9MO

You're the reason labor laws, minimum wages, and OT regulations exist. Because employers want to pay less while working you more hours.

Common misconception. Price will only go up a little bit, due to minor extra expenses. But wages in the US will only be a small part of the total cost of getting a product on the shelf, so it won’t go up by as much, percentage wise, as the wages per hour

Competition ensures this

@MooseCharlie9MO

They’re getting that $$ back one way or another.

@D1plom4tLlama9MO

Eventually. That’s the issue with capitalism; you constantly have to enact new laws to ensure people get to live their life with a fair wage.

But hey, cross that bridge yada yada.

Mass Layoffs At California Restaurants Ahead Of $20 Hourly Wage Mandate

Panera is not exempt from the higher minimum wage requirements. I can't believe how many people still believe this lie. Just goes to show you how easy it is for people to buy into propaganda and conspiracy theories.

@BipartisanClam9MO

They were exempted and then announced they were going to meet those minimums anyway. Newsom said it was never exempt, but I hardly see him as a reliable source.

@L3gislat1ve20189MO

No - they were never exempted because 1) The law hasn't gone into effect yet (how can you be exempt from something that doesn't exist?) 2) Panera doesn't bake bread in their stores, which was the requirement for the exemption.

But now that the propagandists have let the lies out of Pandora's box, I hardly see people changing their minds on the matter. Sixty-six people and counting are agreeing with Clint's outright lie.
