In a candid interview with Univision's Enrique Acevedo, President Joe Biden did not mince words when asked about the 'primary threat to freedom and democracy' in the United States, naming his predecessor, Donald Trump, as the central figure of concern. This bold assertion comes amidst a backdrop of heightened political tension and division within the country, particularly among the Republican Party, which Biden suggests is under a 'death grip' by Trump. The President's remarks underscore a deep concern for the state of U.S. democracy and the influence Trump continues to wield, even after leaving office.
Biden's unequivocal stance during the Univision interview highlights the ongoing struggle between the current administration and Trump's lingering influence over American politics. The President's comments reflect a broader narrative of concern among Democrats and some Republicans about Trump's potential to undermine democratic norms and institutions. Biden's assertion that 'this is not your father’s Republican Party' points to a significant shift in the political landscape, largely attributed to Trump's controversial leadership style and policies.
The interview also touched on international relations, particularly with Mexico, indicating Biden's efforts to navigate complex diplomatic waters in contrast to Trump's approach. However, the primary focus remained on the domestic challenges posed by Trump's political maneuvers and the divisive climate they foster. Biden'…

What impact do you think such strong political statements have on public trust and political polarization?
@9LGLFBJ1yr1Y
I think public trust of both parties is severely diminished with smear campaign tactics and makes our government seem untrustworthy and childish.

I think it shows peoples character and what they will chooses to belive.
@9LGFRPN1yr1Y
It serves to further divide people because it establishes that you must either hate him or staunchly defend him.
I believe it allows Biden to gain or lose supporters.

How do you feel about a sitting president openly labeling a former president as a threat to democracy?
@9LGLQ6K1yr1Y
I feel that all presidents have done good and bad in their presidency and no one president should be shunned for what they have done unless it sides with terrorism
@9LGKS4H1yr1Y
i think biden is doing what he can to get more votes
@9LGM8TB1yr1Y
I lose respect for anyone who uses the smear tactic, it lacks decorum and maturity. Even tho I’m not a fan of trump, it makes Biden seem childish

What the 'uninstructed' movement means for Wisconsin voters, Biden's chances
In summer 2020, Ismail El-Hassan spent every day in the sweltering sun, door-knocking for Joe Biden. But, April 2, he ... didn't win any races but beat out other candidates in the Democratic primary.

Univision Asked Biden What's The 'Primary Threat To Freedom’ And He Didn't Hold Back
Univision’s Enrique Acevedo asked President Joe Biden what he believes “constitutes the primary threat to freedom and democracy” in the United States. “Donald Trump,” the president replied in a lengthy interview that the Spanish language network aired Tuesday.

There is probably bias in both side of the argument so read both sides and make a good judgement call
Not really much since I just let things be

I think Trump has the overhand of Biden.
Biden's accusation against Trump is just another example of how the left manipulates narratives to vilify strong leadership and undermine real progress.
It's just another day in the circus of U.S. politics, where leaders seem more focused on pointing fingers than on preserving our individual liberties.
Finally, someone's calling it like it is; Trump's influence is a real danger to our democracy, and I'm glad Biden's not afraid to say it out loud.
