What societal rules or customs do you think would become outdated in a truly egalitarian society?

 @9LDX36V from Oregon  answered…9mos9MO

The idea of actually going with a party I hope people outgrow the idea of voting consistently one side.

 @9LKBNG4Independent from Texas  agreed…9mos9MO

The parties take our votes for granted. The parties generally know which demographics they have support from and thus do nothing to earn those demographics vote. Citizens need to say hell to the parties and vote candidates

I think the abortion laws should be eradicated there is no reason a mother should carry a baby that isnt going to make it. There shouldnt be someone there saying yes you need to have this baby.

How do you explain to someone without a moral compass that murder is wrong?

 @F0reignP0licyFerretLibertarian from California  asked…5mos5MO

Do you believe it is sometimes necessary to send troops into battle knowing some of them will die?

  @Patriot-#1776Constitution from Washington  answered…5mos5MO

There's a difference between sending troops into battle to defend their homeland from evil, knowing some will die, and surgically tearing an innocent child limb from limb and crushing his skull (all of which actually happen in non-pill abortions, and the details get even more gruesome than that. I would show a picture, but there are so brutal, inhuman, and barbaric that I probably can't. Look it up. It is nightmarish what they do to these children.

 @9LFNGM2 from Colorado  answered…9mos9MO

I think the idea that Communisum and the far left are the same; there is a divide allowed between the extremity of the USSR versus socialist ideology.

What personal aspirations would seem more achievable in a world prioritizing equality over income?

 @9L8YZ9B from Massachusetts  answered…9mos9MO

Buying a house, starting a family, upward mobility, and affording higher education

 @9L9P248from Maine  agreed…9mos9MO

In a society where equality is prioritized over income, more people would start family, buy a house afford an higher education.

 @9L8YZH7 from Massachusetts  answered…9mos9MO

Generally I think that a full education ought to be more achievable in a world that prioritizes equality over income. Of course, there's no way to create full equality here, but I think the intent is that everyone should be able to get where they want to be in life, be that through education or service or otherwise.

Would the elimination of student loans change your attitude towards higher education and your choice of study?

 @9KJ7BQXRepublican from Minnesota  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, it would change my attitude toward higher education. I wouldn't value a higher educdation if it were free.

 @9KJ9YS3Democrat from Texas  agreed…10mos10MO

I understand going for higher education to get more money and better jobs but you won't make further accomplishments if you're so deep in debt you can't breathe.

 @9KJ9QTYDemocrat from Pennsylvania  disagreed…10mos10MO

Just because something is not as exclusive does not mean that it is less valuable. You would still have to be accepted to university to even get free education.

How do you think the concept of retirement would evolve in a society that doesn't prioritize work above all else?

 @9KJ6JV7 from Texas  answered…10mos10MO

The traditional notion of retirement is, for many, not an option. Many need to continue working until they are physically or mentally unable to; meaning that the vast majority of their life was spent working instead of living - often in terrible jobs.

 @9KJ6H9TLibertarianfrom Maine  answered…10mos10MO

 @9KJ6GSW from Wisconsin  answered…10mos10MO

I would assume it would cause persons to work for much longer than needed, possibly into old age.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

What would a society that prioritizes mental health over economic productivity look like, and would you prefer it?

 @9HVC8QGanswered…1yr1Y

A society that prioritizes mental health over economic productivity would be one that values the well-being of its citizens over the accumulation of wealth. Such a society would prioritize the mental health of its citizens by providing access to affordable mental health care, promoting mental health awareness, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

 @9HVCLY4answered…1yr1Y

A society that prioritizes mental health over other things will invest heavily on mental health issues, in their services, and medications. Sounds good as long as there is a balance.

How would your approach to education or career planning change if all jobs were valued equally in society?

 @9HY8BVH from North Carolina  answered…12mos12MO

You could just do any job and expect to be on the same level. This is not at all what it should be. If you work hard you should be rewarded and if you don't you should not be.

Can true social justice be achieved without the complete elimination of social hierarchies?

 @9RXNTLBLibertarian from New Jersey  answered…5mos5MO

Define true social justice and what hierarchies you’re trying to eliminate?

 @9H9JG3Z from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

No it can not, having a very far left reaction and response can end up changing the world as it did in the past.

 @9H9JHCM from New Jersey  answered…1yr1Y

I think we should just all forget about gender-equality because if we do, then it will be like everybody is the same and there will finally be true equality (although it is probably impossible to get people to do this). Equality doesn't mean everybody means everybody gets the same pay, it means everyone gets the same opportunity, so there still will be a hierarchy that isn't influenced by gender.

How do you feel about the government controlling major sectors of the economy, such as healthcare and transportation?

 @9H3FWCTConstitution from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

I believe that the government should control a backup for healthcare and a backup for transportation in case of some form of failure. However, they should not directly control the main sources.

 @9H3GBGBPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

I feel like it's okay. I think there are some things that could be better about our healthcare systems, but for the most part it works well.

 @9H3GJTPPeace and Freedom from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

i dont believe the government should be in control directly, they should be in control of the back-ups for them

 @9H3BT78  from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

Could a society function without competition, and how would that affect your motivation in school or work?

 @9HN7F6Ranswered…1yr1Y

I think a society could function without competition, but that may not be what is best for the people... a balance between competition and putting the people first is important. Everything in moderation.

by going to a four year university, getting my masters in a subject I truly care about.

What changes might you make to your schooling or career if society guaranteed you a living wage regardless of your job?

 @9JB274B from Georgia  answered…12mos12MO

If i was guaranteed a living wage no matter my job, I wouldn't try in school or attempt to go to college because the jobs that require more education and skill wouldn't reward more than a fast food worker.

 @9J9ZVBS from North Carolina  answered…12mos12MO

Do you think a radical systemic change is necessary to achieve social justice, or can it be achieved incrementally?

 @9H3HBK5 from Iowa  answered…1yr1Y

I believe either can work ideally a radical change would be best as the faster we can have a socially fair country the better however incrementally might be necessary as to not cause upset

 @9H3GWXCConstitution from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

I think that labeling ourselves as Americans is pulling us apart we need to come together and compromise to put our Country into a State of Peace.

Is it possible to have total equality without giving up some of your personal freedoms, and would you be willing to make that sacrifice?

 @9H3FD7CDemocrat from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

 @9H3FC6Y from Michigan  answered…1yr1Y

No, it isn't possible, and because of that I wouldn't be willing to make that sacrifice. It's much better to find a balance between the two, and keep track of benefits vs. drawbacks of any position.

 @9KJ6M3N from Mississippi  answered…10mos10MO

there should be options alongside regulation. if a trans woman goes to a sport and dominates. should the sport be centered around trans women and women? or just trans women. it all depends on what it was founded, based, or create to support on. its all on intention.non

 @9KLRNYZReform from Michigan  answered…10mos10MO

 @9KLQZ5V from Maryland  answered…10mos10MO

That really isn’t an effect on my life. My hobbies and interests would receive more financial freedom if the government got its hands out of my pockets.
