On January 29, 2021, the CDC issued an Order that required face masks to be worn by all people while on public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States and U.S. territories. The Order also required all people to wear masks while at transportation hubs (including airports, bus or ferry terminals, train and subway stations, seaports, U.S. ports of entry.) On June 17 2021 Florida Senator Rick Scott introduced the Stop Mandating Additional Requirements for Travel (SMART) Act to prohibit the federal government from requiring Americans to wear masks on public transportation.

@8TL43F73yrs3Y
No, it should only be mandated for those who are unvaccinated
@8XPNFNG3yrs3Y
No. I think wearing a mask should be optional and up to an individual.
@8XMN77F3yrs3Y
Yes and No. I would appreciate if all wore their masks, but no government should tell someone what to do if they do not want to.
@8VDFYQ33yrs3Y
Yes, but excpetions for certain health issues; also, the federal government should only really get involved when covid spikes require it. If they don't, leave it up to the state
@7PTCG38 1yr1Y
Yes, but only for interstate travel. Public transportation mask requirements within each state should be decided by state governments

@8VPRZMP3yrs3Y
The government should impliment policy based on frequently updated scientific data regarding health of the public on public transportation.

Let people wear masks if they want to or if they're a risk; clearly forcing people to do stuff they don't want to just leads to violence and rebellion.
