Tulsi's defense of Assad raises serious questions about her judgment. America needs leaders who stand firmly against dictators and their atrocities.

Tulsi is right to question U.S. interventionism, but defending Assad is not the way to oppose imperialism. We can oppose war without ignoring the crimes of dictators.

It's troubling to see Tulsi continually sidestep the human rights abuses in Syria. Defending Assad in any way undermines the progressive values of standing up for oppressed peoples.
