That’s why the government can’t pass basic audits. They often LITERALLY don’t know where your tax dollars went. It’s insane.

This computer and software upgrade would cost a bit of money upfront but save enormous sums down the road. If Elon accomplished this and nothing else his tenure at DOGE would be a massive success.

They can actually fire a lot of beauracrats if they modernize the computers. Depending on how Trump changes the tax code everyone at the IRS could be replaced by a computer.

audits are totally something that could be automated. But that would hit the rich.
So the 1980s IRS computers are safe.

IT is not the core reason DoD can't pass an audit. That fact notwithstanding, Enterprise IT has been a procurement nightmare for decades and Mr. Self-driving-next-year-for-sure Rapid-unscheduled-disassembly ain't up to the task

Say what you will about him but I can’t believe how that guy runs like 5 companies at once while also streamlining govt IT and ranking top 10 in the world in Diablo IV.
