This whole thing is just political theater. Johnston is trying to score cheap points with a very vocal minority while throwing the rule of law under the bus. If the law says deportation is necessary, then that’s the law—simple as that. Let’s not forget, this is about securing our borders. Why should the federal government bow to the demands of a single city, especially when they’re breaking federal law? There’s no way around it: if you’re here illegally, you should be sent back. Period.
