Yikes, at this point democrats really are just virtue-signaling to get votes. Ugh, I think it’s time they started adjusting a bit, moderate immigration views, focus less on DEI, more on social welfare and workers rights. Not too big an ask personally.
Interesting – maybe vote RFK instead of Biden, in that case.

I just have little confidence RFK would win, if I knew he would for a fact, then I definitely would, I just have a lot of doubts personally.
What makes you not have confidence in him? Certainly he's FAR more trustworthy than Sleepy Brandon

Likelihood to be elected is the defining factor. No one in history has run as an independent and won.

Lincoln was in the Republican Party of the time, though it was newly formed, it wouldn’t really fit the criteria of “independent” since the whole two party system wasn’t very cemented by then.
It had been for decades – Democrats and Whigs, before that, Federalists and Jeffersonian Republicans. He was not expected to win.

We also just had a large amount of parties at the time that remained relevant. The chances of splitting the vote were sorta much higher, so I’d say that him winning wasn’t as much of an independent run as it was a minority party win. Though, it remained impressive all the same.
