No, if the girl wants an abortion, she should have an abortion. Even if they were a couple and did not have safe sex, it is her choice to have an abortion or not.

I agree with this statement. In the vast majority of cases abortions take place because people didn't use protection, and refused to abstain until ready to start a family. I believe it should be up to the states, but personally I don't think the vast majority of people should be allowed to abort an unborn child.

Rape is the fault of the rapist (man or woman) but abortion is not the answer, there are alternatives to prevent birth that don't require killing the baby.

If you don't want to be pregnant anymore then abortion is literally the best solution to that.

 @9GZPNSQ from Minnesota  agreed…1yr1Y

agree because it was her own choice to convay in the activities and should have to deal with what comes with that and not just be able to kill an innocent human for her wrong doing

That's not how anything in life works. Normal people are supposed to take action to stop unwanted consequences from happening. If you left the stove on and started a fire, you wouldn't just let your house burn down, you would put it out; if you get pregnant and don't want to be, you don't just let yourself suffer through an unwanted pregnancy, you would just get an abortion. That's what normal people do...

Regardless of who's "Fault" the pregnancy is, the girl is the one who will have to go through the immense pain, cost, time, and energy of the pregnancy. Sometimes a pregnancy can be deadly to the mother, or exceedingly dangerous. It is her body and she should have the right to choose.

Even if a pregnancy isn't caused by sexual assualt or rape, the woman should still be abke to get an abortion because having a child could interfere with her life, and she might not have the time, finances, etc. to raise a child.

having sex is at best an act of love and people should not be at fault for having accidents. people make mistakes.

 @9GZPZ93 from Washington  disagreed…1yr1Y

It's literally a fetus blob in her body, If 2 people aren't prepared to raise a kid at the time they got pregnant, then they should have every right to kill that blob!

 @9GZPCDJ from California  disagreed…1yr1Y

It is neither just nor right to force a woman to bring a child into the world which she does not have the resources to care for. The government does not have a strong system to support mothers who do not have resources to care for their child, causing economic difficulties, social stigma, and even neglect. It is not just to force a woman through the trauma of childbirth for a child she did not want, even if she chooses to give the child up for adoption. By allowing abortions, the foster and adoption system will not be overwhelmed and children who are up for adoption will have better chances of finding homes.

 @9GZP3D7 from Illinois  disagreed…1yr1Y

there could be multiple things that could result in pregnancy. Either way women should always have a choice if they want the baby or not.

 @9GZP2N8 from Florida  disagreed…1yr1Y

Abortion should be allowed as it is more beneficial than to have access to it that to ban it completely. Victim blaming?

 @9GZNZ88Republican from Idaho  agreed…1yr1Y

I totally agree. If you want to mess around and have fun for the night, you should be willing to face the consequences. If you want to have sex you better be smart about it. If your in idiot, you shouldn't have the right to murder a child out of your own stupidity.
