Should the electoral college be abolished?
No, the electoral college ensures representation of the whole country instead of just major cities
Take California, for example. There are a lot of Republicans in California, but that state will remain blue politically my entire life. The same applies to most US states, regardless of their political leaning. Battleground states are few and far between, and that handful of states should not decide every election.
