Just this year alone, there has been around 565 mass shootings so far. As of October 3rd, there have been at least 58 school shootings. That means there have been at least 58 shootings in which children were terrified out of their minds, wondering how in the world someone could just walk into their school with a gun. According to Pew Research Center, in 2021, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S., according to the CDC. Almost 50,000 people have died from gun-related injuries in just a year alone. Gun Control needs to be put into place or gun use and gun incidents will begin to happen more frequently and cause more damage because there's no restrictions or control. People may say guns are needed for self-defense or for protection, but if gun control is enforced, and no one has guns, then no one else will feel the need to defend themselves or feel threatened by a gun.
