That statement is worded incorrectly, or rather purposefully, in order to force a homophobic viewpoint. Your tone is negative and sarcastic in hopes of swaying the contestant to your personal bias against members of the LGBTQ+ community. Also, your question is poorly researched by the fact that one of your main points is incorrect. Not everyone in the LGBTQ+ community experiences gender dysphoria. Dysphoria mainly affects those who transition, not those people with a broader sexuality (ex. pansexual, lesbian, gay, bisexual, omni, etc). But as with all people, there are always exceptions (ex. a gay man thinks he's a trans woman because of internalized misogyny forcing toxic masculinity). Gender dysphoria, a conflict between assigned and identified gender, is a mental disorder. But being part of the LGBTQ+ community is not. Homophobia and criticism for that personal identity, not being part of the LGBTQ+ community, is what creates gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria often stems from not feeling validated or being prevented from self-expression. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community is not negative, but rather improves the issue of poor mental health because it facilitates feelings of freedom. The personal freedom of self-expression is a strong combatant to gender dysphoria. Bodily autonomy is a personal right that you aren't appreciative of. It is by promoting such a community that the mental disorder of gender dysphoria can be fought.
