Shortsighted. For Evangelicals the return of Jesus to Jerusalem is act one in a two act play - pt II is the salvation (of Christians) and the demise of all others (the Jews). The Evangelicals just need Israel's cooperation for pt I, after that, well, you're on your own.

I would kindly ask religious people to drop the ego and accept the fact that their actions carried out in the name of a book of ancient fables has life or death consequences for their fellow human. If Christians, Muslims, and Jews could all love thy neighbor the world would be a much more peaceful place. I am pro-israel and believe the US should help Israel fight the terrorists. Israel is the Jewish homeland and was 4000 years ago before the Jews were exiled, persecuted, and killed. Without Israel in the Middle East, there would be no sense of democracy or peace.
