What emotional reactions do you experience when you see injustice, and how do they motivate your actions?

 @9JKNXKB from Kansas  answered…1yr1Y

 @9JK4Z8H from California  answered…1yr1Y

I always make sure to stand up for others who are in a situation where its unfair. I mean it's their beliefs and everyone has a right to their own opinions. But we shouldn't judge someone for believing a certain way.

 @9JK4YP9Republican from South Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I feel upset and want to work towards providing justice, and it makes me want to reform the justice system.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

How has a sense of community influenced your view on social activism and change?

 @9HTYS43 from California  answered…1yr1Y

Being in a community gave me a greater reason to be more caring of my members.

 @9HV3V3WSocialist from Wyoming  answered…1yr1Y

I am personally a part of multiple ethnic social groups and LGBTQ+ organizations and find when you have a community you can focus and many different issues. the best part of being a US citizen is being able to use your voice and be heard for the most part. Everyone has a different definition of social activism and everyone's opinion should be respected unless it is illegal or hurting another person.

 @9HTYKT4 from Oregon  answered…1yr1Y

Nobody has their own set of ideals or own thoughts anymore because everyone is influenced and you cannot form your own cognitive thoughts without those other thoughts being seeped into it and changing it.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

How would you personally define justice, and can society be truly just without radical changes?

 @9H3BT78  from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

Justice is the punishment of those who have committed crimes. Rehabilitation should come along with justice to reduce repeat offenses. If we focus the government to support the greater good and humans along with giving the people more power, I believe that it is possible to have a decent society.

 @9H2D7BG  from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

My definition of justice is the payment a person receives for their actions. No, society cannot be truly just without radical changes.

Can a society have too much equality, and where do you draw the line?

 @9H3BT78  from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, a society can definitely have too much equality. I would definitely draw the line at the complete elimination of opinion and uniqueness.

 @9LDHV4D from Minnesota  agreed…1yr1Y

I believe too much equality will form us all into the same. Contrast is something I believe our country needs.

 @9H3DNC9 from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

Equality is a myth. Minorities seem underrepresented because they just have way less people.

 @9TTMDSPLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…7mos7MO

Absolutely

Harris is on record as saying that she believes in the equality of conditions as opposed to the equality of opportunity. She also stated that tax payers should pay for any perceived disadvantage of equality of conditions. No where in our constitution does it mention equality of condition.

What would your ideal version of a fair and just society look like?

 @9K98NCJ  from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Education is extremely important in my eyes for society to function so it would have to start with adequate funding and resources across all the United States. That also applies to college and universities simply because this gives opportunity to others who don’t have the access to the money or resources. Also healthcare should be provided to everyone. There is many ways where a society can be “fair” but in all honesty there is a plethora of issues that can’t all be typed in this box.

How would you challenge someone who argues that the current social order benefits the majority?

 @9HF3NBC from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

The social order of things is meant to benefit the majority by nature of humans putting themselves first. It is unfortunate to not be in the majority here, but anyone who isn't in the majority shouldn't be stigmatized as they were in the past.

 @9H9HQV7  from North Carolina  commented…1yr1Y

I would assume that person is a part of the "majority". The current social order benefits a few. Namely white, male, heterosexual, wealthy Americans.

What's an example of a time when change seemed distant, yet something small sparked hope?

 @9JK4H25 from Maryland  answered…1yr1Y

My grandfather is a very conservative, republican man. He is not very open to the expanding ideologies about sexuality and is not very open to discussions about climate change. When my best friend came out to me as non-binary and asked me to refer to them as they/them, I was worried my grandfather would not be open to this change. Yet he understood what they were asking and respected their decision. My grandfather has made sure not to disrespect them, which is not something I expected from him.

 @9H9JQCD  from New Hampshire  commented…1yr1Y

Capitalism is the only ethical economic system because it's the only one not predicated on redistribution and expropriation. Consequently, it also creates more fairness than any command economy with equality as a goal.
