How has an aspect of Arab culture positively influenced your life or the lives of those around you?
It cast a light on what their cultural practices are
The warmth and generosity of Arab hospitality have taught me the importance of welcoming others and creating a sense of community.
@9L5Y7YT1yr1Y
I do not live in an area where Arab cultures have a present influence, at least not one that I am able to notice, this is due in part to the fact that very few people from Arab nations live around me.
@9L5YVB71yr1Y
I don't mind It, its their culture its who they are.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you feel about the influence of foreign powers historically shaping the Arab nations' borders and politics?
@9H6SNX31yr1Y
Western imperialism has created the situation in the Middle East. We need to accept responsibility for those errors.
@9HBQY7R1yr1Y
I agree with a Jewish state known as Israel Existing but I think that the foreign world should stop trying to support Palestine by destroying Israel. Destroy the terrorists and then help them once they are ready.
@9H6SWM71yr1Y
Maybe have all indigenous non-Arab peoples have their own state (case in point: Kurdistan)
@9RVN9ZJ9mos9MO
It is a stupid move that will only lead to World War III.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How does embracing diversity within your own culture impact your view of unity in the larger Arab context?
@9JJNW671yr1Y
It could impact people and influence them to change their behavior or to make them feel more like themselves
@9JJNQXX1yr1Y
It dosent it really depends on the people and if they are good or bad
@9JJPBDKIndependence1yr1Y
That people have their own beliefs and can be prideful of their ethnicity and they don't have to force it on to others they can let everyone have their own opinions and beliefs.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How does the concept of shared history and heritage present in your own community or country resonate with you?
@9HLM3DJ1yr1Y
It is represented by a ban of showing your Christian faith at school or in my community. Instead I have a deal with pushing of Muslim faith at me all day and can’t live out my Christian values and faith.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways does a shared past influence the present and future relationships between communities or nations?
@9HX3NL21yr1Y
I don't know. arab nations should choose if they are united or not. I don't expect they will ever be united as one.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Do global success stories of individuals from the Arab world inspire you in your own life ambitions?
I would say that some indivisuals would inspire me to my own life ambitions.
@9KHTB931yr1Y
No, I think the Arab world needs to be greatly improved for the sake of its own people. The havoc wreaked as a result of terrorism, war, and government control has shattered the lives of millions of people. The Arab world is, quite frankly, outdated and old-fashioned. While it has magnificent culture and gracious people, its policies and beliefs overall need to be reformed.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Do shared struggles, like a pandemic, make you feel more connected with those who share your language or culture?
@9JJPK2KRepublican1yr1Y
yes i do, because there is no shock of difference so I dont really need to explain myself.
@9JJPJQ71yr1Y
I don't care about national people identity, my individual relationships are far more important.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When has a global event, like an international sports competition, made you feel part of a broader Arab community?
@9LL4H6JRepublican1yr1Y
I don't want to feel a broader part of Arab culture.
@9LHXR6G1yr1Y
The idea was good but things turned hostile and they lost track of what they were trying to accomplish.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How have modern communication platforms like social media altered your perception of national boundaries?
It has show=owed me more details about it and has helped me realize that some national boundaries are cruel.
@9JPCMV61yr1Y
As long as they are respectful of this country, I have nothing against anyone.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you think the history of a region should shape its future, particularly in terms of cooperation and integration?
@9HXNFRD1yr1Y
During the Cold War America lead coups and espionage against left leaning democraticly elected government and from then on all our modern problems can be traced
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Would a single political entity for all Arab nations help or hinder the diverse cultural traditions within the Arab world?
@9HF5HD51yr1Y
By essentially combining all Arabs, this would only create more tension.

@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What does 'self-determination' mean to you when you see it expressed in other countries that share your heritage?
@9L7KPBX1yr1Y
Self-determination means to me the right to run your country according to the rules of citizens, not political electives. It has to be done fairly, not unconstitutionally.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Would you support a movement aimed at unifying Arab nations, and why or why not?
@9H6VJJJ1yr1Y
With the Arab spring, it's important to recognize that not all Arab nations hold the same cultural values anymore. A Palestinian Arab vs an Egyptian Arab vs a Syrian Arab will all have varied experiences. Nationalism leads to imperialism which leads to colonialism.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would you describe the feeling of community when engaging with shared cultural practices?
@9KHT22K1yr1Y
I welcome it with open arms. I wish the United States could be a safe place where all cultures can live in unison. Some cultures are aggressive towards others though and that’s a problem.

@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you could connect with anyone from a different Arab country, who would it be and why?
@9KHG48L 1yr1Y
If I could connect with anyone from a different Arab country, it would be a grassroots activist actively working towards social justice, human rights, and equality within their community and beyond. This choice aligns with my values of empowering marginalized voices, promoting inclusivity, and challenging systemic injustices.
Engaging with grassroots activists allows for a deeper understanding of the lived experiences and challenges faced by individuals within different Arab countries. It provides an opportunity to learn about the local dynamics, cultural nuances, and specific social, economic… Read more

@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Reflecting on your personal history, how do you think the past has shaped your present values?
@9JJPMCG 1yr1Y
This conflict is causing a ton of funding is be sent to Israel. We personally don't have enough funding for ourselves so we should stay out of foreign affairs, and worry about our country that's, currently folding under pressure. Why are we even worried about other countries we need to improve ours and that's by making a change that the people need not what politics want.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y

@9JJNXNQ 1yr1Y
Independence is something not many have the luxury of having, at the current state of the world it's something many have to fight for. The impartation of opposing beliefs lead many to be found under the heel of a country or nation they do not believe in.
