What is more important to you: protecting your digital footprint or enjoying personalized digital services?

 @9J6XL2JIndependent from Kansas  answered…1yr1Y

Protecting your digital footprint is easily more important than personalization. If we start prioritizing personalization then we are destroying innovation and openness, and we are making ourselves stay in these echo chambers. If everything we read and see is personal then we will never hear another person's opinion or views. This also ruins empathy since we lose our connection to other people.

How does the idea of governments tracking online behavior make you feel about your own internet use?

 @9HW25PJ  from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Tracking online behavior can and will stop a number of criminals, but that's all it should be used for. Not for advertising or to make people feel unsafe about their technology.

 @9J2K7J6 from Michigan  agreed…1yr1Y

People have the right to be private unless they're trying to find someone who is criminal. If you have not done anything wrong, you should not be watched by them.

 @9J2DTBX from Minnesota  agreed…1yr1Y

Citizens should have a right to privacy. Unless it is in the name of public or national safety, their privacy shouldn't be infringed.

 @9HW5NDSIndependent from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

I do not do anything I shouldn't on the internet but I do not like that someone would be and probably already monitoring everything that I do. It freaks me out how I can be talking about something and then ads start appearing on my personal device soon after I discuss it.

 @9HXD3B3 from Georgia  agreed…2yrs2Y

They should be some privacy for people on the internet to do as they please, but if specific websites or such that the government does not want people on they should keep an eye on.

 @9HVYW6X from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9HVYPQL from Kentucky  answered…2yrs2Y

I worry that through tracking, my personal data is uploaded and could potentially be tracked for nefarious reasons.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How would you balance the rights of individuals to privacy online with national security concerns?

 @9H7TYNQIndependent from California  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel like the individual privacy on the internet should be a bigger deal because as time goes on many things starts to transition from real life to internet. Many sensitive stuff is on there and some should not be seen by even the internet provider. But for national security is a tough case maybe for government official they can have the key to the information stored on the computer but maybe not too much.

 @9H7TT7LRepublican from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

I think online privacy is a big deal. Everyone should have access to national online security.

 @9H7TWM7 from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Net neutrality is important, and everyone's privacy online should be protected, even if its piracy, as its a victimless crime.

 @9H7VV7HConstitution from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

Child pornagraphy producers should be executed, and hackers should be sent to prison and make social media platforms yeald to the constitution

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

 @9H754XTfrom North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

Companies are no better than internet pirates. But yes, pirating is wrong and shouldn’t be done.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Considering the goals of the Pirate Party, what changes, if any, would you like to see in your local government's policy?

 @9H5QMDFSocialist from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9H5QH6K from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9KJMT7ZRepublican  from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

I just wish people would be more reasanable on the internet, not going to the political extremes making everybody seem terible

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

Imagine a world where every internet user contributes to governing it; what rules or systems would you put in place?

 @9KJCZ43Democrat from Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

I would consider equal representation and promoting transparency in decision making processes protecting the data of our phones and stuff

 @9KJCN7M  from Kansas  answered…1yr1Y

Pirating should not be considered a crime; most streaming services are wayyy too expensive and barely pay their artists a livable wage. Hate speech should be banned. Websites and apps would not be allowed to mine data.

How do the entertainment and media you consume online influence your viewpoints, and what responsibility do creators have in this?

 @9KJPGNJ from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

A piece of media with certain viewpoints may be the only experience a person has to those viewpoints, and so they will tend to agree with what they start to find familiar.

 @9KJMTDH from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

What we see online often determines how we feel about political views. If we see more far right pov of certain political issues we will naturally start to agree with them.

 @9JQL84W  from Utah  answered…1yr1Y

 @9JJ67CH from Alaska  answered…1yr1Y

The disadvantaged communities have a less commitment role to the political stand, but they are still able to vote.

 @9JJ5YZNSocialist from Wisconsin  answered…1yr1Y

I dislike the idea of open access to data. I think only a select few people should be able to hold that power. To fix this, we should reduce the amount of power people have over these topics.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

If you knew that nothing you do online could be monitored or censored, how would you behave differently?

 @9KWGPX4 from California  answered…1yr1Y

The online world should work on the balance of trust not spying but it is unavoidable so I would act more sincere to others without the need to forced to act like that due to spying.

 @9KWGKMK from California  answered…1yr1Y

I still most likely would attempt to act more with decency, however, I would most likely have to remind myself to continue acting appropriately, that some people would be uncomfortable with what I say and do.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

What's your take on the balance between creative freedom and protecting the rights of content creators?

 @9KVWY9W from Arkansas  answered…1yr1Y

Creative freedom and protecting the rights of content creators is the same thing. There was a time when the rules were easy. Don't upload an entire movie to YouTube, or play the entirety of a song without critique. The rules now are incredibly destructive and far too difficult for everyday people to get a good legal grasp of.

 @9KVWV3D from Ohio  answered…1yr1Y

 @9KVXZJ8 from Indiana  answered…1yr1Y

I THINK THAT OPEN SOURCE EVERYTHING IS REDICULUOUS. I THINK THAT EVERYONE WOULD TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.

I don't see how that can work having a society where individuals have complete control

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

What does the term 'transparency in government' mean to you, and why might it be important?

 @9H742W9Progressive from California  answered…2yrs2Y
