You believe that questioning the mainstream narrative on climate change will lead to more accurate scientific understanding and better-informed policy decisions.
Climato-scepticism, also known as climate change scepticism or denial, is a political ideology that questions or rejects the scientific consensus on climate change. This ideology is characterized by the belief that global warming is either not occurring at all, or if it is, human activities are not a significant contributing factor.
The history of climato-scepticism can be traced back to the late 20th century, when the scientific community began to reach a consensus on the reality of human-induced global warming. As early as the 1970s, scientists were warning about the potential impa…

Should everyone blindly trust scientific consensus without personal research, and why or why not?
@9H5JHSQ2yrs2Y
Yes and no they know more then we ever will about earth considering they've been studying it their whole lifes almost and are fascinated by it while we barely put thought into it, but at the same time they still have'nt did it.
@9H5HQLD2yrs2Y
Not necessarily. Individual research should be encouraged, but certified scientists always have more credibility.
@9H5JL6D2yrs2Y
Acceptance of anything without understanding the science behind it is dangerous, and can lead to false conclusions.
@9H5K5Y72yrs2Y
no because you wont know if its true or not intell you do some kind of reaserch
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What personal experiences or observations have led you to your current perspective on climate change?
@9H8BJCG2yrs2Y
Education mostly. Learning about climate change and also witnessing its effects first hand.
@9H8BG2PLibertarian2yrs2Y
Growing up in a world where climate is already ruined from the people before.
@9H8BJ9K2yrs2Y
Climate change is real but I care very little about it
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Would the discovery of past climate change inaccuracies affect your trust in current climate science, and in what way?
@9KM82571yr1Y
@9KMMVC41yr1Y
yes because we can more about the climate change and how was in past before now.
@9KM7MSDIndependent1yr1Y
Probably not, but I have hope from the bottom of my heart that maybe we can stop it
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If an important aspect of your way of life was harming the environment, how would you feel and what would you do?
@9KYCY331yr1Y
I would immediately change my ways and find a new way to help the environment.
@9KY7DSG1yr1Y
I would feel targeted and I would try to stop it trying to find a less harmful replacement.
@9KY76PL1yr1Y
I would find ways to completely stop and replace it with something that doesn't harm the enviroment if i could not then i would find a less harmful replacement or try to mitigate it some how
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If climate change were proven to be natural, would you feel less responsible for taking action?
@9H3V9HZ2yrs2Y
I doubt that climate change is natural. However if it were to be hypothetically proven natural, I believe that humanity should still take responsibility in taking precautions to protect our species from the dangers of climate change, whatever they may be, and however we can do it.
@9H3V2ML2yrs2Y
Slightly, however we are the only species on Earth that can promote positive change.
I would feel responsible unless proven that climate change is 100% natural.
@9H3Z22H2yrs2Y
Hypothetically, if it were proven that climate change was a 100% natural occurrence I would feel less responsible but we as humans are the only current species on earth able to have control over what can be done about climate change as a whole. So I think the feeling of responsibility would remain but be less intense.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How might large-scale environmental changes influence your community or local economy?
@9HKH6T82yrs2Y
a change in what we do can really help the environment in our community
@9HKH7JQ2yrs2Y
Im not to knowledgeable about climate change but I do trust science, if there is an issue that has scientists pleading to be heard then I think we should listen.
@9HKH64M2yrs2Y
The temperature would get hotter and pollution could cause more diseases.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Imagine a world where climate change solutions are universally agreed upon; what does it look like?
@9HKJ5D52yrs2Y
Clean energy and actively working to close in on net zero carbon emissions.
@9HKJ5LJ2yrs2Y
It looks like a healthie place to live in which the earth is not dying as fast.
@David-Alvarez 2yrs2Y
Leaving more reliantly on ones self whilst taking care of nature and sometimes sacrificing a little when needed.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How could changes in environmental policies affect your job or industry in the future?
@9HKHTC92yrs2Y
It can affect the way we were originally trained to do the job. We would have to change everything that we do.
@9HKHRVX2yrs2Y
I work in the energy transmission industry, most green energy options are currently cheaper than fossil fuel generation due to the lack of maintenance work. The issue is a lack of domestic production methods means it’s difficult to acquire the precursors at scale to be able to make an economic difference in a short period of time. Discussing the ongoing benefit and stabilizing energy costs in a sustainable way will benefit all industries; largely this issue has nothing to do with carbon, yet carbon remains the focus because of the political benefits for taking stances for/against the idea of carbon mitigation.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What lessons can we learn from past societal responses to environmental crises?
@9HKHMDK2yrs2Y
The lessons we can learn from past societal responses to environmental crises more collaboration and global cooperation. Being able to share knowledge, resources can help address environmental challenges more effectively.
We can learn that there are ways to affect climate change and we also learn that people don't care.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If definitive proof of climate change's severity was found, how should the world's leaders respond?
@9HTBXHJRepublican2yrs2Y
Invest in researching technologies with which we can adapt instead of banning, restricting, and subsidizing already existing products.
@9CJ6CB61yr1Y
It already has been found, but the current goal should be to sever the ties of fossil fuel lobbyists from government, and work towards researching as many new technologies as possible to help fix it. We need to adopt an “all-green alternatives” approach to move away from fossil fuels, reduce fossil fuel use in the energy sector, work for alternatives in other industries, reduce emissions caused by deforestation, forest fires, or farmlands.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If you could ask a climate scientist any question, what would it be, and why?
@9HKJSMT2yrs2Y
I would ask how bad the climate issue is really, and not how certain medias portray it. I would ask this because it is a very real, and relevant issue today, but certain news sources share their OPINIONS on the matter rather than the FACTS.
@9CJ6CB61yr1Y
How would you recommend we fix climate change?
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What are your feelings towards the loss of natural habitats and the possible link to climate change?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you negotiate between your community's economic needs and the larger climate change concerns?
@9L58RGRRepublican 1yr1Y
I would push what affects us now and then fix the bigger picture because I feel like as long as we are surviving in the current situation then we can work on the future.
@9L57MPD1yr1Y
By actually communicating with your community to come to a resolution that benefits both sides
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you ever had to defend your position on climate change, and what did that teach you about the issue?
I have had to defend my position on climate change because lots of indvudials do not believe in it.
@9KW3YKD1yr1Y
All i said was that I believed climate change was important because animals are being effected by it
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How would adjusting to significant changes in weather patterns impact your daily life or future plans?
@David-Alvarez 2yrs2Y
Self reliance's respect and apretition of nature and t having uses
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How do you believe climate change will affect global social equality and migration?
@9J3VLSX1yr1Y
Yes it will. People will move because of the climate change people colder places will begin to heat up.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What do you think is the role of individuals in countering misconceptions about climate change within their own circles?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What drives your trust in information regarding environmental issues, and how do you determine credibility?
@9HKHNNH2yrs2Y
A broad understanding of geology, chemistry, deep earth history and climate systems achieved through schooling and self-directed learning through multiple sources. Many books, scientific papers, a few more (seemingly) credible content creators. Also a look at opposing viewpoints, and trying to figure out where the truth lies. In short: it's real, it's happening, it's our fault, it'll be expensive and damaging to Earth's biosystems.
But, it's a technical challenge that we can solve without hysteria in the way we did the ozone hole and acid rain. It's a toughie, but is most certainly not the end of the world, or the end of humanity.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If evidence surfaced tomorrow that reshaped our understanding of climate, how should educators respond?
@9HPPLVH2yrs2Y
They should respond by changing the curriculum and researching more about the topics that changed
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How do you think individual actions contribute to the larger picture of global climate health?
@9HLXZQH2yrs2Y
I think that obviously, individual actions are a part of climate health because there are over 7 billion individuals in the world.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How do the potential risks and uncertainties surrounding climate change affect your worldview?
@9J4ZTFDRepublican1yr1Y
worried about the future of our planet but some of these climate activists are pretty extreme
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How does the idea that climate change might not be as severe as claimed make you feel about global efforts to combat it?
@9H8BFTS2yrs2Y
i feel as it is somewhat important but not top priority
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If a close friend or family member expressed climato-scepticism, how would that conversation go and how would you feel?
@9H8BFTS2yrs2Y
i would not engage in conversation, it does not interest me
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Can questioning established science lead to better understanding, or does it cause unnecessary confusion?
@9H6BYJT2yrs2Y
A key component of the scientific method involves challenging accepted theories and hypotheses in order to get a deeper knowledge of complicated phenomena, such as climate science. Scientific advancement is propelled by a healthy skepticism that motivates scientists to assess preexisting theories critically, test hypotheses, and improve models.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If significant evidence against human-driven climate change emerges, what should be the first step taken by governments and individuals?
@9H8BDR62yrs2Y
Slowly reducing climate impact starting with richer companies
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If a new breakthrough cast doubt on climate science, how would you reassess your lifestyle choices?
@9J3TXXB1yr1Y
I don't beleive in climat change, so i guess, nothing will change
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you ever changed a habit because you learned it could be harmful to the climate, and how did that make you feel?
@9KWZW4G1yr1Y
Of course. It’s wise and important to be good stewards individually but the level of responsibility must accurately and proportionately reflect impact on the environment (i.e. the greater the impact positively or negatively, the greater the responsibility).
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you think your culture or nationality shapes your views of what's happening with the climate?
@9KX3G8K1yr1Y
World is fine, **** it, china and india are the problem.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What are the main hurdles you see in achieving a consensus on climate change policies?
@9J4BDFN1yr1Y
That not everyone agrees on the same topic and everyone has their own ideas and beliefs.
