yes and no because they may increase it randomly and decrease it for no reason and for people who don't need and those who do

 @9VQ8KHT from Ohio  answered…5mos5MO

No, they should fund Medicare as much as they can without messing with the other stuff they have to fund.

 @9TXX7GS from Ohio  answered…6mos6MO

I feel like we should have to pay for medicare just because if we get it for free then the government would be in debt.

 @trinkalsGreen  from Ohio  answered…6mos6MO

A drug should be inexpensive and cost the same across the board no matter who's paying... or better yet, healthcare and medicine should be a human right as it is a necessity to live a quality life. it is immoral to deny someone medicine because they can't afford it

 @9R92PBL from Ohio  answered…8mos8MO

No, but private companies should be held accountable for price gouging medications and/or aiming for a monopoly over drugs

 @9LXPWQX from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, drug prices should be cheaper as corporations charge too much and healthcare needs to be socialized.

 @9KWCPTJ from Ohio  answered…12mos12MO

should negotiate drug prices for everyone. It is not fair that medicare patients have different rates.

 @9KR9WGD from Ohio  answered…1yr1Y

It depends on how personally necessary the drug is to the individual’s well-being and survival. If it’s not something necessary for their well-being and survival, and/or they have the ability to financially support themselves to buy it, then the government shouldn’t be allowed to negotiate prices for the drug’s Medicare coverage. If it’s an absolutely necessary prescription drug for the patient’s survival and wel-being, and/or they don’t have the ability to independently make their own income to contribute to Medicare coverage of prescription drugs, then the government should negotiate for lower price prescription Medicare coverage on their behalf.

yes but there should be a set percentage of which they can't go below or above

Both the government and Medicare should negotiate with the price of the drugs, however, the government should help if Medicare needs help because I think they can deal with people’s health insurance on their own.

 @952J7XQ from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

They already do and don't allow prices to be under what Medicare will pay.

 @93CCV2L from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, if the government doesn't restrict or deny drugs that aren't working or new drugs. It should be affordable for the budget of our elders.

No, this should be negotiated by a 3rd party tax funded organization that uses open source accounting.

Don't negotiate on price, but instead focus on socializing the healthcare system for a single-payer system.

 @8XNSBS9 from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

Medicare has set prices for prescriptions, Part D plans and a few part B. The federal government focuses on safety.

Yes, but only if the negotiations do not cause a premium increase for others who will purchase the medications.

There should be no cost for drugs as these companies have gotten money from the federal government meaning us to invent them in the first place then they charge us again to use them .I call it double and triple dipping Disgraceful a

 @8FFD7J7 from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, Should negotiate with multiple countries to so as to have lots of private options on a public option.

 @8F53CYB from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

I mean, if that’s the necessary step to ultimately not have for-profit healthcare

 @99HMZPD from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

I don't really care about government intervention as long as any action is supported by experts in the field.

 @985W87K from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

The federal government should always have the right and obligation to crack down on price gouging corporations, especially if said corporation is selling somethin necessary for a persons continued quality of life.

I fall in the middle because I don't want big pharma to have control over the drug prices but I also don't want the government to have to much control either

 @8DDF8XM from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but no benefits should be given to the private company negotiating.

 @8WNZXJ4Progressive from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe certain prices and businesses selling drugs should be negotiated on, but others don't really have to be tampered with.

 @9DCGKDL  from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

I do not think the government should get involved unless there is a problem with them.
