In a recent move that underscores the Chinese government's focus on ideological conformity and political loyalty, President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of breaking new ground in the realm of ideological and political education within the country. Addressing the need for innovation in this sector, Xi highlighted the critical role that ideological-political courses play in shaping the minds and loyalties of the nation's youth and future leaders. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the development of such courses has been a top priority, with the Party's leadership in this area significantly strengthened under Xi's tenure.
Xi's remarks underscore the CPC's commitment to maintaining its grip on the ideological and political orientation of Chinese society. By calling for these courses to be more targeted and appealing, Xi aims to ensure that the Party's core values and principles are effectively communicated and embraced by students across all levels of education. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to fortify the Party's ideological foundation and ensure its long-term dominance in China's political landscape.

Do you think it's important for education to challenge students' beliefs or to reinforce the dominant beliefs of their society?

Both, students who fall into the preset categories and students who don't should be equally uplifted.

Sounds like Xi's doubling down on thought control, just with a modern twist—so much for fostering a culture of individual freedom and critical thinking.
It's clear that President Xi Jinping is taking the necessary steps to ensure the long-term stability and prosperity of China by focusing on the ideological and political education of the youth. In a world where Western influences constantly threaten to undermine our traditional values and sovereignty, Xi's innovative approach to education is a commendable attempt to preserve the core principles that have made China strong. By reinforcing the importance of loyalty and ideological conformity, we're safeguarding our nation's future and ensuring that the next generation is prepared to uphold the glorious path laid out by the Communist Party of China.

I’m saying this as a communist, but the ways China does this scare the crap out of me. China has neglected rights and privileges of its citizens that aren’t even necessarily required to suppress in order to achieve a communist path, despotism is becoming a problem, and the mere allowance of the rich to exist in China in their own government shows a traitorous disregard for the basis of communist principles.
