The reason why I would not vote for Roy Cooper in the 2028 presidential election is because of his moderate, centrist approach to leadership. Everyone prefers candidates with a stronger, more distinctive national presence or a more progressive vision.

Roy Cooper III has failed to provide voters with positions on key issues covered by the 2020 Political Courage Test,

I think I would rather him run for senate than president, and he would make a bigger impact locally.

There's no telling what he plans to do if he gains that much power and that scares me.

Roy cooper has done a good as governor of North Carolina. However I would want to see what else he accomplished as governor as well as what he would do as president.

The top reason personally is his stance on immigration. The reason of this being that being soft on illegal Immigrants that commit crimes is unreasonable. First they have all ready committed a crime by entering the country illegally. Then to commit another crime. In my opinion that in almost all cases should leave to deportation.

Former Governor Cooper had a very earnest and successful tenure as an appointed member of President Trump’s task team to combat the opioid crisis in 2017 that directly impacts Appalachia. My only grievance with this is he primarily dedicated his efforts to issues plaguing his state of NC rather than the country’s surrounding problems, specifically all of wider Appalachia. Overall though, I appreciate former Governor Cooper and his commitment to working with Republicans as a Democratic leader in a bipartisan/right-leaning state.

I feel as if he is a good candidate and I can tell he would be an excellent choice- however, i do not know enough about him and his platform to feel like it’s a civically responsible vote.

Yes, but only for non-surgical treatments such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy
and I dont agree with it at all.

Roy Cooper seems a good president for 2028 but I still have hopes for the promises Kamala Harris

I would vote for Kamala Harris, she is the one who should've been our president. she wouldn't be doing half the things Donald Trump is

Don’t know enough about him. Has not put forth a bold, transformational vision for the future rooted in progressive values to my knowledge.
