Those that have been involved in mass shootings and School shootings were not mentally well. Improving mental health for citizens will improve many areas that mar our country.

Yes. Guns do not harm people, it’s the people behind them. Someone who is responsible and mentally stable, as well as a good citizen, is extremely unlikely to hurt anyone with a weapon on purpose. However, many people who commit gun violence have mental health issues and should not be allowed to own a firearm. Mental health tests and strict ID requirements should be enforced on those who wish to purchase firearms. However, this is a local/state issue. Not a federal one.
