Was it a direct attack on the carney? or did drones get close and were shot down. If it's the latter, it has happened multiple times already in the Red Sea.

Iran, through their proxies the Houthis, are trying to block the Bab el Mandeb strait (southern entrance to the Red Sea), one of the world’s most important shipping lanes.

American military strategy and response shouldn’t be political. Yet it changes greatly from administration to administration. Some things should just be understood to always be the same, such as, “attack us and we attack back”

An American warship and numerous commercial vessels came under fire in the Red Sea on Sunday, prompting the warship to open fire in self-defense. This marks another incident of escalation in the Middle East connected to the Israel-Hamas war, which is approaching two months of fighting.

If the Houthis claim not to have targeted a US vessel, should the US believe them, and why or why not?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Should the US respond to an attack on a warship with further aggression, or should there be another approach?
