You believe in gradually implementing changes within society to promote social justice, equality, and improved living conditions for all citizens.
Social Reformism is a political ideology that advocates for gradual changes within a society's structure and institutions to improve social and economic conditions. It is a branch of socialism that seeks to implement change through democratic processes rather than through revolution. The ideology is based on the belief that social inequality and injustices can be addressed through legal and political reforms, such as changes in legislation, policies, and social programs.
The history of Social Reformism dates back to the 19th century, during the Industrial Revolution. This period…

What's a real-life example of overcoming a barrier that you've seen in your school or community, and what was the outcome?
@9LDY6ZM1yr1Y
One real-life example of overcoming a barrier related to social reformism that I've seen in a school or community context is the implementation of inclusive policies and initiatives to support LGBTQ+ students.
In many schools and communities, LGBTQ+ students have historically faced discrimination, bullying, and exclusion, leading to negative mental health outcomes and academic challenges. However, in response to advocacy efforts by students, parents, educators, and community members, many schools and communities have taken steps to address these barriers and promote inclusion and acceptance. Am not supporting to them in other words but they should treated with positivity.
@9LDXDLB1yr1Y
social reformism is a liberal lie and bull **** stop being a victim and grow a pair
@9LDXSNL1yr1Y
Kids always forgetting stuff in their lockers or using it as an excuse to leave class. The school banned lockers and kids have to carry their stuff around everywhere.
@9LDXRHT1yr1Y
Two people from much different income houses putting their differences aside and becoming friends.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How has the current state of healthcare affected your views on social reform?
It has made me realize that we need more free public health care as people cannot afford it.
@9J2XKDP1yr1Y
You see a lot of kids and older people not getting the medicine they need because they cant afford it.
@9J249G21yr1Y
I feel like since healthcare is expensive they should try to reform it
@9J23W9G1yr1Y
@9J247DD 1yr1Y
Insurance is ruining the healthcare industry. It has made healthcare too expensive for those who can't afford it
@9J2H4PK 1yr1Y
Those who have insurance are scared to use it because it is not clear how much insurance will pay. Leaving the patient clueless and confused when the bill is larger than they expect. The premium you pay should go toward your deductible.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What do you consider to be the most significant barrier to higher education, and how should it be addressed?
@9JHG6P9Libertarian1yr1Y
Class. The system is good but base student loans off major.
@9JHRMF51yr1Y
I believe that student loans put students who may be less fortunate into debt they will be paying off for the rest of their lives and act as a disincentive to students.
@9JHG4SZ1yr1Y
Cost. Also, trade schools should be promoted more as viable secondary education.
@9JHG3QK 1yr1Y
I don't believe that barriers to higher education need to be addressed. I think it would be better if we stopped pushing higher education in the traditional sense and return to teaching trades.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How would you feel if your future was determined by a lottery system instead of merit?
@9J5R6KD1yr1Y
I would hate that, lottery is pure luck and compared to everyone who plays hardly anyone wins I would hate for my life to be purely based on chances.
@9J5QSCJ1yr1Y
I wouldn't like that at all. I prefer a merit based system.
@9J5QR3J1yr1Y
I would not be very happy, others don't put in work.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Have you felt the impact of income inequality in your life or school, and what did that look like?
@9J24QNQ1yr1Y
Yes I have.The rich is getting richer while there are people working their *** off and still are struggling yo just survive in a America.🇺🇸
@9J253NPRepublican1yr1Y
yeah i see it. There are some kids wearing all name brand clothing showing off their clothes and phones and some kids have clothes with holes in them and wearing the same things a lot.
@9J278KP 1yr1Y
I have. I grew up in south Berwyn Illinois, which is the better side compared to North Berwyn. Despite this, throughout my middle and Freshman-Sophomore high school career, I saw what the differences were between my life and others. My family has always been on the edge of middle class, I remember when my Dad lost his job and food began to be a problem for a year being the worst financial strain on my family. Then, when I moved out into Villa Park after a divorce, I went to the first ever school in my memory with a white majority. I also saw the blatant Injustices in both schools that I won't go too deep into, but reflects the inequity that has plagued this nation since it's birth.
@9J253V21yr1Y
yes, our teachers have been racist, making kids have detentions and suspensions
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Imagine a society with perfect equality; what is one thing you think would be most different from today's world?
@9K7TJWD1yr1Y
I think that economic struggle would be lifted and materialistic ideals would not be as common.
@9HMSG6Q2yrs2Y
People wouldn't create problems that don't exist. People would understand that things are as they are and its easier if you don't make things more difficult than they have to be.
@9K7TMWS1yr1Y
People who want peace and happiness would be able to have it
@9HMSFJB2yrs2Y
No racism, no hate towards those with disability's, different race, or color.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What's one stereotype you wish could be changed, and how might that affect society?
@9J25XB61yr1Y
People's definitive assessment and judgment of someone based solely on their appearance and stereotype associated with their appearance.
@9J2533T1yr1Y
One example of stereotype threat comes from a study by Spencer, Steele, and Quinn. The researchers found that women did not perform as well as men on a math test, when they were told there was a difference in outcomes based on gender.
Black people are apart of gangs and considered dangerous
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What local issue are you willing to stand up for, and what first step would you take?
@9LBW3HD1yr1Y
the gas pricing and taxes on earned income should become lower
@9LBVNZ3Republican1yr1Y
I think it is good to keep chaning government to fit our generations.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do moments of kindness in your community reflect the potential for greater social change?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Can you name a small act in your community that contributed to a larger social change?
@9K9KLKZ1yr1Y
Social reform is a reshaping or reforming of culturally accepted laws and norms in light of new cultural paradigms that occur over time. Social reform can occur at local, regional, national, or global levels.
@9K9HZ5SLibertarian1yr1Y
There isn’t one that I know of, but I would say that reformism is a noble aspect to have in a society.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When have you had to make a tough choice due to economic constraints, and how did it feel?
@9L63MQS1yr1Y
I don't like how inflated all the prices have gotten. Its really annoying
@9L63LM2Libertarian1yr1Y
As a part of the lower middle class, choosing a college has been particularly tough. Since I'm in the middle class I don't qualify for much government aid, but since I'm lower middle class I have to rely on scholarships and grants.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways can volunteering or community service educate us about the needs for social reform?
@9JHP6B6Independent1yr1Y
I think community service and volunteering are important steps in social reforms as they can connect a community, build trust, and reduce the risk of crime or civil disputes.
@9JHNSVG1yr1Y
I think community service and volunteering are important steps in social reforms as they can connect a community, build trust, and reduce the risk of crime or civil disputes.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How would establishing gender equality in workplaces influence your future career choices?
@9J7SRXDLibertarian 1yr1Y
women suck, we need less women (i am a woman, a REAL woman btw not a fake *** tranny queer pedo)
@9J7SJ6W1yr1Y
I would receive more opportunities because I am a female, however I think this would lead to resentment between genders and is a form of discrimination violating the 14th Amendment.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How might your life be different if all genders were truly treated as equals?
@9JKPG271yr1Y
Everything in society would be equal and easier in life.
@9JKP84J1yr1Y
I would have more opportunities and less hesitation to apply for/take certain opportunities. There wouldn't be a subconscious feeling of inferiority in comparison to white people. I wouldn't have to ask myself if I'd be able to do a certain thing the same way a white person would.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would protecting natural spaces in your area impact the well-being of your community?
@9JHDG5N1yr1Y
We need natural spaces. Otherwise what are we fighting for in the future? More parking lots?
@9JHCJNRConstitution1yr1Y
I think it creates more conflict and teaches hate, and it is mainly becoming an issue from people that are trying to cause division by using the "victims" as an excuse to instigate.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what way could schools do more to prepare students for actively participating in a just society?
@9JHG2YG1yr1Y
Instill American values of respect, equality, and faith
@9JHFX861yr1Y
Have a class on society, work ethics, and how to manage life in a work setting. An actual class that actually prepares you just for life in the future. I believe it should be a mandatory class for seniors so they are more prepared for college and living in the real world after school.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How could making public transportation better and more accessible transform your city or town?
@9JHFX861yr1Y
Making public transport more accessible makes for a more safe environment. Having free transport means people can more easily get to work if they cannot yet afford a car. Also we need to make public transport more safe, especially for women who are constantly being harassed on public transport.
@9JHFW5WRepublican1yr1Y
It would make life easier for those who don’t have cars being as everything is so expensive.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How can we ensure that social reforms include the voices of those they aim to help?
@9HMS8CW2yrs2Y
work on teaching people the values of equality and teach them tolerance towards others opinions
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways do you believe your local community treats its members unequally, and how does that affect you?
@9KG6ZYY 1yr1Y
Indianapolis hates people who don't own cars, and who maybe cannot afford them. There is no affordable living within walking distance of everything you would need to survive in 2024.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What's a challenge faced by someone close to you that could be alleviated by a change in policy?
@9K9P46C1yr1Y
I don't have anyone that could be helped,to my knowledge.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you could ensure one basic necessity for everyone in your community tomorrow, what would it be and why?
@9JHG5BS1yr1Y
Housing. Because access to programs is only helpful if you have the time and ability that ONLY housing can give you!
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways can sports and teams be a platform for social change, based on your school's experience?
@9LG7KBT1yr1Y
Sports should be based on personal achievement rather than gender.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How has a personal setback taught you about the importance of social support systems?
@9LCY9H91yr1Y
Teach financial literacy, teach checks and balances to everyone; and social justice.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you ever seen peaceful protest lead to meaningful change, and how did it impact your views on activism?
@9KG84WPLibertarian1yr1Y
If a protest isn't violent there would not be a reason for the government to stop the movement. That's where the real change comes from.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you could improve one social service (like public healthcare or education) in your community, which would it be and why?
@9K8HNJ41yr1Y
if i could improve one social service in my community it would be education because many schools now are sometimes unsafe and the teachers dont care at all
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What's an act of kindness you've witnessed that motivated you to help others?
@9L56HTX1yr1Y
*People Coming together after the bomb threat on the Lancaster library on Saturday march 23rd.
*Clubs At Schools
*My friends
*LGBTQ Coalition Program.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Can sharing personal stories on social media be an effective tool for driving social change, and why or why not?
@9JHG9S91yr1Y
Yes because we learn through mass communication and contribute to the gradual change of society.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If you could create a new law that promotes fairness, what would it aim to solve?
@9J7RFD21yr1Y
It would be able to help fix the national housing crisis
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you ever stood up for someone who was being treated unfairly, and how did that make you feel?
@9JPB7RX1yr1Y
Yes. I felt happy that I stood up for them but embarrassed by the way others looked at me afterwards.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would your daily life improve if everyone was guaranteed a basic living wage?
@9JN4J36Independent1yr1Y
People would be happier and able to live more fulfilling lives
