You believe in adopting practical approaches and solutions that lead to the most effective and efficient outcomes.
Pragmatism is a political ideology that emphasizes practical solutions to problems over adherence to a particular political philosophy or ideology. It is characterized by a flexible approach to politics, with a focus on empirical evidence, practical experience, and results rather than on theoretical or ideological purity. Pragmatists believe that the effectiveness of a policy should be the primary criterion for its adoption, rather than its alignment with a particular political ideology.
The roots of pragmatism as a political ideology can be traced back to the philosophical movement…

How do you determine whether the most practical solution to a problem is also the fairest?
@9JFMDM84mos4MO
Pros and cons for all parties involved. As long as no one is favored more by the outcome
@9JF9C4V4mos4MO
I feel like it’s a good way to find stuff out but not 100% accurate.
@9JF96K5Republican4mos4MO
You have to look at everyone that is being affected.
@9JF8ZYS4mos4MO
The solution for something is simply based on it efficient, effectiveness, backdraws, probability, and whether or not it been accept by us
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
In what ways do you feel modern society could benefit from more pragmatic decision-making in day-to-day life?
@9JF2K8T4mos4MO
When situations get bad for us, then we should have the right to have transparency with our presidents
@9JF245W4mos4MO
I think a lot of decisions made are selfish and not well thought out please start using some common sense when it comes to ruling this well-established country before we get attacked or something gosh.
@9JF2CQW4mos4MO

How do you find common ground with someone who has a radically different approach to solving problems?
@9KCR75ZPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
You find something that both people can agree on without necessarily favoring ones side
@9KCLYHWRepublican 3mos3MO
To find common ground we should look at each individual issue and look at the history of what we have done in the past and the affects that had, then use logic to find a solution, even if it goes against your personal beliefs a little.
@9KCLSNP3mos3MO
Talking about different ideas and coming in the middle.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Have you ever been pleasantly surprised by a solution that seemed too easy to actually work?
@9KBLYGGIndependent3mos3MO
No, I always feel like I'm not doing enough, as in I'm missing something.
@9KBLP2QPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
Yes, when people mention the thought of climate change, they believe all it takes is a simple fix. Examples like adding more solar panels, more wind power, reduce fossil fuel sources for the environment. It is simply not that easy to work, due to the stigma of the community and others gaslighting each other into believing climate change does not exist. This is surprising because while it may seem simple at first glance, there is simply way too much ignorance in the world at the moment for the solution to be a simple one.
@9KBKXCJRepublican3mos3MO
yes i have as there are many interesting things out there.

How do you deal with a situation where your heart says one thing and your head says another?
@9HTRFL25mos5MO
Balancing heart and head can be challenging. Consider weighing the pros and cons, seeking advice, and finding a middle ground that aligns with values and practical considerations
@9HZ7KHJ5mos5MO
i think it’s important to weight the pros and cons in every major situation, it’s good to stand back and run through what could happen in any circumstance.
@9HTR9BS5mos5MO
In heart vs. head, if your head can provide more logical reasons than just a 'feeling,' chose your head, especially if you understand that future consequences of your choice and they're good ones.
@9HTRKBC5mos5MO
the head is facts the heart is feeling so focus on the facts

Can you think of a moment when a simple, immediate solution actually caused more problems later?
@9KCNGKK3mos3MO
One example that comes to mind is when I tried to fix a leaky faucet in my bathroom. I thought a quick and easy solution would be to tighten the faucet handle to stop the leak. However, overtime, the constant tightening caused the handle to break, making the problem even worse.

If two actions promise the same result, but one aligns with your values and the other is more practical, which should you choose and why?
@9H4GXFX7mos7MO
Pragmatism is a philosophical movement that emphasizes practicality and usefulness. It holds that an idea is true if it works satisfactorily, and that the meaning of an idea is found in its practical consequences.
Values are individual beliefs that motivate people to act in certain ways. They can be personal beliefs about right and wrong, or cultural values accepted by religions or societies.
Practicality is the quality of being likely to succeed, or being appropriate for actual use.
In general, the choice between pragmatism and idealism depends on the event and environment. Idealism emphasizes abstract ideas like truth and goodness.

@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How do you manage conflicting advice from different sources when making an important decision?
@9K9PMXR3mos3MO
I think the best way is to look for the advice that is credible and makes sense.
@9K9NRP2Peace and Freedom3mos3MO
Resolver problemas de una manera sensata que se adapte a las condiciones que realmente existen ahora, en lugar de obedecer teorías, ideas o reglas fijas
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
What's an example from history or current events where a compromise led to a significant change or solution?
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
Is being pragmatic the same as being non-ideological, or can pragmatists have strong values?
@9HF2BWBProgressive6mos6MO
Rigid adherence to ideological dogma leaves little to no room for practical responses to questions better answered by other ideologies or schools of thought. One can be pragmatic and still hold their own personal ideology or ideologies, but are not blindly adherent to said ideology. Pragmatists can indeed have strong values and can uphold their values through practical means and policies.
@9HDL58L6mos6MO
Pragmatists can have strong values: They may hide them to catch the interest of a demographic they like, or to compromise for a more functional government, or exaggerate them to energise their core fanbase.
