You believe in the establishment of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel, guided by religious principles and values, to fulfill divine promises and ensure the continuity of Jewish culture and tradition.
Religious Zionism is a political ideology that combines Jewish religious faith with Zionist nationalism. It emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a response to the secular Zionist movement, which sought to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine without necessarily adhering to traditional Jewish religious beliefs and practices. Religious Zionists, on the other hand, believe that the return of Jews to the Land of Israel is a divine commandment and a precursor to the Messianic era.
The roots of Religious Zionism can be traced back to Rabbi Yitzchak Yaacov Reines, who fou…

How would you describe the relationship between your personal sense of purpose and the political environment around you?
@9JSB3NJ1yr1Y
I feel like we are being forcefully becoming diverse but that is just me
@9JSCQWL1yr1Y
This learning process shapes perceptions that influence which norms, behaviors, values, opinions, morals, and priorities will ultimately shape their political ideology: it is a "study of the developmental processes by which people of all ages and adolescents acquire political cognition, attitudes, and behaviors."
@9JS9ZXBIndependent1yr1Y
i think that some people should be allowed to have their own political views
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways do you think an individual's spirituality should influence their civic engagement and political participation?
@9KY76PL1yr1Y
I think none i know in practicality it's alot harder as those values and teachings are engrained in people and this applies to all religions including Protestant religions and their values because government and religion should never mix ever
I believe that an individual's spirituality can play a significant role in shaping their values, principles, and sense of purpose. When it comes to civic engagement and political participation, spirituality can inspire individuals to prioritize compassion, justice, and the well-being of others. It can motivate them to advocate for social equality, environmental stewardship, and the promotion of peace. However, it's important to respect diverse perspectives and ensure that personal beliefs do not infringe upon the rights and freedoms of others.
@9KY72ST1yr1Y
if they're religious is about peace they should try to maintain peace
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What would you do if a historical place significant to your cultural or religious identity were at risk?
@9KY7TXD1yr1Y
The concept of "Religious Zionism" involves colonization so I think it is important that we do not kick people out of their homes just because my religion says that I should live in a certain place. We can look at this through Israel's occupation of the Gaza Strip and the horrors committed against the Palestinian people in instances such as the "Nakba" in 1948. People should have the right to escape persecutions for their religious ideas but not at the cost of others.
@9KY76MB1yr1Y
There is not much i could do since i am a child, but if i could i would try to defend it as best as possible
@9KY75G31yr1Y
I would be very concerned because why is putting my cultural or religious identity at risk
@ISIDEWITH10mos10MO
If faith shapes a country's laws, how does that impact its diversity and inclusion?
@9TG8DKC10mos10MO
some people may not establish themselves in that religion and may feel uncomfortable
@9TGBNMG10mos10MO
limits diversity and inclusion, as Zionism is an inherently colonial ideology
@9TG6WZPIndependent10mos10MO
If faith shapes a country's law the law will almost always be biased. There has been a standard of separation of church and state for a reason and we have lost sign of that.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Do you think historical events should dictate the political landscape of today, and in what capacity?
@9HH88N72yrs2Y
The only way we as humans can make good decisions for a great mass of people is by looking to our past and seeing what works.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What emotions do you feel when considering a homeland tied not just to place, but to faith?
@9HLT46H 2yrs2Y
Creation will always be questioned and as a servant of Jesus Christ I will encourage others to seek their own truth of faith by suggesting a study in the word of God and comparing to how other aspects of existence can be explained or disproved.
@9HLS4K52yrs2Y
i think claiming a homeland with a book with no actual indigenous roots gives you no claim over the actual indigenous population.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Have you ever felt a spiritual connection to a place, and how did that shape your feelings about who 'belongs' there?
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What are the benefits and risks of intertwining religion with national identity, from your perspective?
@9HTHCFCRepublican2yrs2Y
Benefits would be to practice life based by your religion. Risks would be people abusing exceptions. I see both sides.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What is the significance of land to you, and how do you relate that to the rights of others who also claim a connection to the same land?
@9JPMKRH1yr1Y
Land is not appointed by a god. Land is free to be used as need be
@9JPMC7C1yr1Y
Quite simply, land is simply a place to live. A group of people only have ties to land because they have built their community or society there. Land should not be claimed simply because one’s ancient ancestors lived there. Should others be allowed to live on that land? Yes, however they do not have the right to push those already there off the land or take political control of the area.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Can you think of an example where two different belief systems coexist harmoniously, and what can we learn from it for global relations?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Where do you draw the line between cultural pride and nationalism?
@9LBD3N2Republican1yr1Y
Attacking and committing terrorist acts on other countries.
@9LBCM931yr1Y
I think they go hand in hand, so there really isn't a line per se.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Do you think personal spiritual beliefs should influence educational content in public schools, and if so, how?
@9JPLBXV1yr1Y
No. Educational content in public schools should remain secular and science based, except in the case of classes specifically teaching about religions, which should be optional.
No, because we are a country that has the right of freedom of religion so everyone should learn about all kinds of religion no matter what religious beliefs one has.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What does 'a promised land' mean to you, and could it exist today?
@9LCM8F61yr1Y
A promised land is the an idea that gives purpose to life. That in the end all is well and all will be okay if we live to our fullest potential with the best intentions. The idea of a promised land gives hope and purpose to people.
@9LCM8331yr1Y
A perfect society where everyone agrees and gets along. I don't believe it could exist today because corporations, businesses, and people lie to much to others and are too greedy for this to happen
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How does your cultural heritage influence your view of national identity?
@9HYGDCC1yr1Y
Religion should and culture has a huge impact on who I am.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
If you had to advocate for a cause based on your personal beliefs, what would it be and why?
@9HP33M7Libertarian2yrs2Y
reshaping the ideas of pagan cultures and having more places for them to practice openly
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How can one balance the love for their homeland with the principles of their faith?
@9HLSR9W2yrs2Y
That is a different thing for every person, because each have different levels of faith.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How does the intersection of faith and political activism manifest for you personally or in your community?
@9KBYC2T1yr1Y
I believe political actions and faith should be held completely seperatly and they do not belong together.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What emotions arise when you think about a location that holds deep spiritual meaning for you?
@9KS32M9Independent1yr1Y
Respect, meaning that the location holds a deep meaning to those who already live there
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do your experiences with religious diversity shape your ideas about national unity?
@9KBYCP81yr1Y
I don't have strong opinions about political diversity. Every person should be allowed to practice whatever religious faith they choose as long as it does not cause harm to others.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What values from your upbringing would you wish to see reflected in your country's leadership?
@9KBY4YQ1yr1Y
That all people should be treated with respect no matter their religion or class
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Imagine if every country followed a single religion; how do you think this would affect global relations?
@9J8HPD91yr1Y
People foolishly treat any critique of a countries actions as an assault on that country's religion. They also create legal definitions stating anyone critiquing any facet of the country or religion are anti-xyz of that religion. If all countries had a relgion, and there were sufficient quantity of them, it would be increasingly unlikely that a stance accepting and respecting them all could exist. For that reason eventually everyone would need to be at war with everyone else due to basic critiques and optimism for improvement over silly and simple government functions (and some major ones too, I'm sure).
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How do you reconcile the aspirations of Religious Zionism with the rights and aspirations of non-Jewish communities living in the same area?
I think that it’s important to note that Israel is perfectly open to non-jewish citizens. Many arabs live in israel and are granted full citizenship and all the rights associated with it. It’s outside of Israel where other religions aren’t given equal - or in some cases any - rights. If israel is no more, would jordan and the UAE and saudi arabia allow all the jews in?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What does the idea of living in a society shaped by religious texts mean to you?
@9L6B8GY1yr1Y
Religious views shouldn’t cloud political decisions.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you were tasked with forming a new society, what core principles would you establish and why?
@9JB338Q1yr1Y
it will be better to keep your religion in yourself for others.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What role do you think religious traditions should play in the daily operations of a modern society?
@9HLSDVR2yrs2Y
they should be like a holiday that some people do and it should be accepted
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do stories of ancient lands passed down in your family affect your view on present-day territorial claims?
@9KBXWY3Libertarian1yr1Y
they dont affect me but i feel bad for the natives
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What personal experiences shape your stance on mixing heritage with state craftsmanship?
@9KB7XPVLibertarian1yr1Y
Being raised jewish and being the daughter of the founder of the brandeis center and visiting israel
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you had to live by a set of rules set centuries ago, how would that impact your life today?
@9LFXYQH1yr1Y
It would restrict me and not allow for social changes in my life.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When you consider your most cherished place, how does the thought of it being under threat make you feel?
@9KM6FW21yr1Y
Personally, I don't really have a "cherished place".
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would you advocate for a belief that's important to you without infringing on others' freedoms?
@9L8Y25D1yr1Y
Everyone can have a religion; however, not everybody has to. I will support and announce my religion, though, I will not force it upon anyone else. In this day and age, talking out about religion is called a forced upon, which I disagree with. No one is forcing anyone into a religion by talking about it to them. Just like anyone in the LGBTQ+, they force their beliefs on people more than religious people do. I believe we should all come to an agree-to-disagree movement. We don't have to agree with our opinions; however, \we need to respect and care for each other humanely.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How should we navigate the complexities of individual beliefs in a diverse classroom or workplace?
@9LBDBP91yr1Y
Keep it to oneself unless asked about or appropriate to tell
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would you define true coexistence between different belief systems in one nation?
@9L9XSS8Independent1yr1Y
Understanding and control of propaganda. Meshing of cultures is also important.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What is one tradition from your background that you find important, and how would you feel if it became part of your country's policies?
@9JJD34J1yr1Y
I have come to believe that traditions and religion ill inform policy. Simple morality and compassion are often the wisest leaders when it comes to policy.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What challenges do you foresee in balancing secular governance with religious populations?
@9JNCMD8 1yr1Y
That to many religious people want it in our government. We need to keep it out of government because not everyone believes in religion or the same religion.
