If there were no private businesses, how do you imagine innovation would take place in technology or services?

 @9JQ9XQL from California  answered…1yr1Y

With no restrictions, I believe that the removal of patients would allow more expression

 @9JRF296  from Kansas  disagreed…1yr1Y

If "patients" is supposed to say "patents," then I think it would have the exact opposite effect. Instead of attempting to discover and invent new things, many corporations would simply steal other people's designs. Fewer people would be expressing themselves by being creative, and more would stick to what works.

Imagine a day in your life when your contributions are measured by their societal impact rather than monetary value; what would you do differently?

 @9KCPHH3 from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

Volunteer constantly, work for organizations that better people.

 @9KDXL54 from California  agreed…1yr1Y

If the goal is to have a societal impact and better people, volunteering allows for direct help to individuals who need it.

 @9KDW8QP from Colorado  agreed…1yr1Y

if my contributions were based on my societal impact, I would be more motivated to do more because I can see the ways my actions affect others. As opposed to working for money only and seeing no direct return to the community.

 @7GP32QVRepublican  from California  answered…1yr1Y

I would flee the country ASAP to live in a freer society with free enterprise like the USA. In a Marxist-Leninist society, there is no free-market capitalism and no right to private property.

 @9KCP69L from California  answered…1yr1Y

I would stop focusing on how to make money and focus on how to impact my community positively.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

What does being 'rich' or 'poor' mean to you, and how would these concepts change in a classless society?

 @9RN43KK from Washington  answered…11mos11MO

Rich are those that don't have any need to work as their passive income can sustain their lifestyle. In a classless society, there would be no necessity to work, you would only work if you chose to.

 @9KD8NYVIndependent from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

To be rich is to have monetary wealth that allows for one to live above the average standard. A rich person can easily afford optional and unnecessary luxuries, on top of having their necessities met. Meanwhile, to be poor is to have extremely little monetary wealth, living just below the average standard. A poor person can barely afford their basic necessities if at all.

 @9KD82GWanswered…1yr1Y

They don’t mean anything to me because people is human all people is human

 @9KD8C62 from Georgia  answered…1yr1Y

Rich have money, and the poor don't. In a classless society, these concepts still would reside, for as long as someone has more money than someone, that person will still hold the leash.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

How would your aspirations be influenced if your career success did not depend on competitive advantages?

 @9LDXTL3 from Washington  answered…1yr1Y

I do not care about career success, i do work because I want to be happy and to help my community

 @9LFNDV3 from Georgia  disagreed…1yr1Y

I care about career success because I want to be paid for the hard work that I do. Others should not benefit from my services unless I am first or my benefits are greater than theirs.

 @9LDXQ6W from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I would want to help as many people as a could so that everyone is healthy and living well so i can have fun with people

 @9LDY6ZM from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

In the context of Marxism-Leninism, where the ideology emphasizes collective ownership of resources and the abolition of class-based competition, the influence on individual aspirations regarding career success would likely shift away from traditional notions of competitive advantages and toward broader societal goals and communal well-being.

 @9LDXYT3 from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I'd probably enjoy my aspirations more because I wouldn't be comparing myself to others as much

How might the experience of playing team sports at school change if all players were valued equally, regardless of skill?

 @9LFRDTJ from Tennessee  answered…1yr1Y

There would be no point in professional sports if everyone played the same.

 @9LFR9N8answered…1yr1Y

The teams would become much worse and no one would be motivated to get better.

 @9LFR3JZ from California  answered…1yr1Y

It would be a great feeling because I believe more people are going to feel much more accomplished and feel great that they are acknoledging them.

 @9KD7RGYConstitutionanswered…1yr1Y

To have everone read and understand our constitution and the amendments as well as bill of rights

 @9KHQYS7 from Missouri  agreed…1yr1Y

It's better to educate everyone, because not everyone understands the constitution or its rights it holds and some people may even fear it because they have a wrong viewing on it.

 @9KD7QN3Independent from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

My first action would be to go from state to state and determine key issues that need to be changed.

Would the elimination of class systems enhance or diminish our sense of community?

 @9HJ4Z4D  from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, class systems do nothing to benefit us only isolate us from eachother. With class systems, the poor cannot participate in society and most of the wealth would be owned by selfish entrepreneurs that exploit the working class.

 @9HGMWVBProgressive  from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

diminish because people wouldn’t know where they belong in society there has to be some sort of class separation in order for society to carry out as normal

In a society striving for classlessness, what new challenges might we face?

 @9HJ44YWanswered…2yrs2Y

We might considerably have problems with the struggles between the social classes, including capitalists and workers, because it defines economic relations in a capitalist economy and could potentially lead to a communist revolution.

 @9HJ3PXQanswered…2yrs2Y

In a society striving for classlessness, challenges like a lack of growth might arise as without different classes and the idea of being and having much more than others, many might feel unmotivated to improve since everyone is already at the same level.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Without the incentive of higher wages, what other motivations might drive people to work hard and innovate?

 @9HYPRTN from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

the opportunity to own a company as a worker, which somewhat exists already. Workers who work hard have the ability to climb ranks of a company.

 @9HYPPGNProgressive from New Jersey  answered…1yr1Y

I believe the driving motivator should be the simple pleasure of making our lives better, you work hard and learn the skills to look back and see how much you've improved, I think we've been blinded by the ideology that all you need to make life better is a decent job to give you decent money that we forget how simply accomplishing a difficult task to drive ourselves forward gives us such a deeply satisfying feeling of achievement that no amount of money can compare to.

How would the role of education change if it was pointed towards creating a classless society?

 @9HY8QLT from Indiana  answered…1yr1Y

Is it possible to have a successful society where the state eventually withers away?

 @9H3XZCY from Maryland  answered…2yrs2Y

No. The state is how the collective society organizes and manages itself. A stateless society is a total fantasy.

 @9H3XY7C from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

No, because the State is vital to protecting its people from internal and external threats. If the State dissolves and anarchy occurs, people will just restructure themselves into tribes and restart the whole state building process again, with a whole lot of violence that accompanies that process. Stable states are the best society to live in.

Would you support a revolution if it meant you could possibly lose personal freedoms?

 @9H8XC7Z from Arizona  answered…2yrs2Y

If the revolution is going against a system that oppresses a certain class for the betterment of a higher class, then yes, because if the revolution is a success, there's opportunity to gain more freedom than what was there before.

How would you define personal success in a society that measures worth by contribution to the collective well-being?

 @9KXGNYF from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

In general, personal success would be gauged on how a person is able to give back to their community. This could be through a job, volunteering, art, or even something as simple as being an upstanding citizen and role model. This would be stressed, as putting focus on bettering the community will benefit all members of the community, whereas our current emphasis of bettering individuals only benefits the individual, often at the expense of others.

How would your approach to education change if your future income didn't depend on your degree?
