You believe that promoting extreme patriotism and prioritizing your nation's interests above all else will lead to a stronger, more unified, and prosperous country.
Ultranationalism is a political ideology that is characterized by an extreme form of nationalism. It is often associated with a belief in the superiority of one's own nation over others, and a desire to promote its culture, interests, and values above all else. Ultranationalists often advocate for the preservation of their nation's culture and heritage against perceived threats, such as immigration or globalization. They may also support aggressive foreign policies, including expansionism or militarism, to assert their nation's power and influence.

In what ways do you think national pride can contribute to positive change in society?
@9JF3VGKRepublican1yr1Y
I dont really think it could have a positive impact or a negitive impact on society.
@9JF3RLJ1yr1Y
It encourages the community to build together for a diverse and many perspectives of a community. You get to experience one another's culture.
i think we need more money into the health care systems
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How might fostering empathy between nations alter the notion of ultranationalism?
@9LCPTCS1yr1Y
When you have a personal connection with someone or some group you tend to empathize more. Foreign exchange programs, travel and just pin pals are good ways to connect.
@9LCPQHH1yr1Y
it could cause conflict between the nations citizens
We'd tone down the amounts of radicalism in our nation and be instead able to bridge our differences.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What emotions stir within you when your national anthem is played?
@9JF3N8K1yr1Y
When I hear the star spangled banner instant chillz go through my body and an infinite amount of energy and freedom pulses through my veins until the final braaave when I cheer at the top of my lungs.
@9JF3DGN1yr1Y
Reflection on those who died for it to be played, but also an awareness that ultra-patriotism can be a bad thing.
@9JF3NLCIndependent1yr1Y
I don't really care about the national anthem. You can stand if you want but I don't think you HAVE to stand if you live here. I won't stand if it's played nor will I stand during the pledge of allegiance.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Can ultranationalism ever be a force for good, or is it inherently problematic?
@9H97SQR2yrs2Y
It often causes conflicts and interferes with co-operation between nations, those who believe ultranationalism is called ultranationalist. Ultranationalist move from valuing their own nation and its interest to hostility toward people of other nations.
@9H97TZ3Republican2yrs2Y
There are lots of problems with nationalism. Every country should go for more of a patriotism ideology.
It depends. I think it depends on the situation, but it can be used for good, and bad.
@9H97B8Y2yrs2Y
Ultranationalism can be a force for good if it can rally the people together and create a more efficient one party government.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Can a country's extreme focus on its own interests contribute to global harmony or does it invariably lead to conflict?
@9H8PKTL2yrs2Y
It does lead to conflict because the country is so focused on itself and its growth that it inhibits the growth of others and can lead to large conflicts.
@9H8PHGM2yrs2Y
I believe that a country should be working in itsself before it can help anyone else
@9H8QG7N2yrs2Y
It doesn't just matter about your own opinion it also matters about the world too. There will be choices where it's good for your country but it's bad for others.
@9H8PCSZ2yrs2Y
It can help the global community by focusing more on scientific and general advancement.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Do you believe your country should help others before or after resolving its own issues, and why?
@9HFLG762yrs2Y
We should help ourselves first because if we can’t fix our own problems then how can we help others.
@9HFM7YM2yrs2Y
I believe that our country should solve its own problems first because before helping other countries with their problems we must solve our own.
@9HFMM6H2yrs2Y
I believe with the great wealth and resources of this country it is possible to do both at the same time.
@9HFLLD5Progressive2yrs2Y
Yes I believe that it would put a stop to most of the world problems today
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
What does it mean to you to be patriotic, and where do you draw the line between patriotism and ultranationalism?
@9HFD9VB2yrs2Y
A patriot is someone who stands for their country and fights for what they think is right in their country. Extreme forms of nationalism can become potentially harmful because people think to an extreme and it gets out of control.
Patriotism is simply having respect and love for your country, Ultranationalism is when you take action.
@9HFD5P92yrs2Y
Patriotism is supporting your country, and ultranationalism is supporting only your country.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How do you balance pride in your country’s achievements with an awareness of its historical or current shortcomings?
@9HFBRDW2yrs2Y
Pride in your country should not impede in the recognition of shortcomings. You should be able to recognize when the nation messed up or did something wrong, and make movements to fix the problem, not dig in your heels and double down.
@9HFBSGXRepublican2yrs2Y
For as long as humans have lived they have taken land from each other it’s how the world works and it still happens to this day
I think it is important to not only recognize, but to take action on our shortcomings. Until then, the "Pride" one feels is based only on platitudes
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How does one differentiate between healthy national pride and the dangerous extremes of ultranationalism?
There is no healthy nationalism it is inherently toxic and we shouldn't promote stupid ideas like pride in a dirt on the ground being better than another area of dirt on the ground.
@Dairine-Monteiro2yrs2Y
Healthy national pride is about celebrating your country's culture and achievements, while Ultranationalism takes it to dangerous extremes with aggression and exclusion.
@9H554FF2yrs2Y
It becomes to much when they start attacking people.
@9RLMC3Q11mos11MO
Healthy patriotism is a natural instinct, almost anyone who was born in a nation naturally considers it as a mother land. On the other side, dangerous nationalism is a pulsion which involves racism, xenophobia, neon@zism and violence, all bad values.
Ethnonationalism is the worst form of nationalism. It’s an absolute disgrace to human values (I think it should be a crime), praising xenophobia and anti minority behavior.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Should a nation's culture be preserved at the expense of embracing global diversity and multiculturalism?
@9H98XNB2yrs2Y
@9H95CT3Republican2yrs2Y
I feel like it should but at same time it would affect the diversity
@9H958LK2yrs2Y
@9H9BY6X2yrs2Y
The American identity is one of multiculturalism, so embracing diversity is the more American thing you can do.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
In what ways might ultranationalism impact a country's relations with its neighbors and the international community?
@9H8Z39C2yrs2Y
At some point, ultranationalists move from valuing their own nation and its interests to hostility toward people of other nations.
@9H92YD62yrs2Y
It may form many protests and disagreements in community's because many people have different beliefs.
It would negatively affect them because the nation would only worry about itself thinking it to be above rules.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How important is it for a nation to admit and learn from its past mistakes, and how does this relate to ultranationalism?
@9HFC7292yrs2Y
I don't think it's a form of admission. It just needs a way to grow through it and evolve through such a time.
@9HFC3YLRepublican2yrs2Y
It is important to make a nation better to learn from it's mistakes to make a nation better.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Have you ever felt conflicted between loyalty to your country and disagreements with its foreign or domestic policies?
@9HR3JW72yrs2Y
Even if my country does something I don’t like it’s still my country, my country is more than its government
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Should cultural adaptability be encouraged, or is preserving traditional values more important?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How does your personal definition of loyalty to your country differ from the extreme views of ultranationalism?
@9J5JBLR1yr1Y
I am proud and appreciative to have been born an American, which includes opening our arms to those to don't look or act like us. Others see it as an entitlement, something they chose or earned, as opposed to luck. They use that status to look down on and negatively affect those around them that weren't lucky enough to be born here.
@9J5J2VC1yr1Y
I think that we should be patriotic. I think we should love our country and all come together in times of need.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Do you think international cooperation in science and technology conflicts with maintaining a strong national competitive edge?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If faced with a choice, how would you prioritize national loyalty over global humanitarian issues?
@9KYJF651yr1Y
I would try to build a more patriotic culture in the U.S.
I would see to it that the people of our own nation is well taken care of first before anyone else.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you could change one thing about how your country is perceived internationally, what would it be?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Could an athlete's representation of their country at an international event affect your national pride, and how?
@9KZ79621yr1Y
No it should not affect your national pride because it is just a demonstration of a sports team progress which does not involve the country
@9KYZHFVRepublican1yr1Y
I support my country, and no other is greater to me than the US.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How does the celebration of national holidays make you reflect on your country's place in the world?
@9JP4PS91yr1Y
Ultranationalist entities have been associated with the engagement of political violence even during peacetime
@9JP4BL91yr1Y
The national holidays that are celebrated do not include people of other religions it shows me that we still have a long way to go before we can be considered to be fair to all
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you think a strong sense of national identity impacts the way young people view global issues?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you view the concept of a country having a 'unique destiny'?
I don't think that I am a ultranaturalist. This sounds really extreme.
@9JF2N9K1yr1Y
Our country does not have a unique destiny I thunk that is a stupid idea.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would you balance the celebration of your nation's successes with recognition of its failures?
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
Can understanding different perspectives strengthen a nation, or does it dilute national identity?
@9HFBWWRRepublican2yrs2Y
Understanding different perspectives can strengthen a nation, but it should not be forced.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How might your personal cultural experiences inform your opinion on balancing national pride and global citizenship?
@9HTF57M1yr1Y
My mom and dad are educators, my entire life revolves around knowledge. My research and education shows that our form of a representive republic is the only.way to go.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
In an increasingly diverse society, how can we promote unity without suppressing cultural differences?
@9HF9DCK2yrs2Y
I think the answer to a more unified populous is acceptance and respect. I think there are many cultures in this world that have rules that may contradict others, but accepting and respecting a culture's ideals is important to a unified people in a way where we don't invade different ideals with ours, and vise versa.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When have you felt your national pride swell, and what caused those feelings?
@9HZL3FQCA Common Sense 1yr1Y
In most recent times it's sad to say that I have felt little to no national pride swell within me, especially with the presidential elections that involved Biden and Trump as well as all social issues running to the streets for representation and whatnot. The last time I could feel national pride was Trump revealed the call between him and the president of North Korea boasting about our nuclear force and not backing down from a country like north Korea, I thought that it was the most appropriate response and made me feel proud due to our nuclear prowess.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How might extreme national pride affect international collaboration on issues like climate change?
@9HFGJRJ2yrs2Y
would have the country sort of act in an egotistical way
