Texas appraisal-district elections are all veneer and no substance. Appraisal district board members have no power to set valuations or settle disputes.
It's incredibly frustrating that we're spending so much money and effort to cater to unfounded skepticism instead of investing in making voting easier and more accessible for everyone.
Sounds like Brazos County is bending over backward to please a few skeptics at the expense of taxpayers and practicality; there's got to be a better way to uphold election integrity without throwing money and time out the window.
