Honestly, seeing Hope Hicks testify in Trump's trial really brings to light the tangled web of politics and how it's often more about scandal management than actual governance. It's a prime example of why many of us argue for smaller government and less power in the hands of these political elites – the less they have, the less they can abuse. The focus on this trial and the 2016 campaign's controversies also highlights the need for more transparency and ethical behavior in politics, but I'm not holding my breath that this will change anything substantial.
