I feel happy because it tells me that people are still free to speak their own language and they do not need to learn English to be a citizen..

In the United States the main language is English so I believe it is important to know how to speak English.

It is customary, and in many cases required to learn the local language when moving to a foreign nation. So, I find it annoying when foreigners persist in not assimilating to American customs, language, and values.
