The United States embargo against Cuba prevents American businesses from conducting trade with Cuban interests. In December 2014 President Obama ordered the restoration of full democratic relations with Cuba. The order lifted a 54-year-old trade embargo and eased restrictions on banking and American’s travel to the country. When President Trump took office in 2017 his administration re-imposed the U.S. travel ban, citing Cuba poor record with human rights. In July 2021 President Biden imposed new sanctions on Cuba’s police force and on two of Cuba’s leaders in response to…

No, lift the travel,food and medicine embargo but do not allow economic trade until Cuba becomes a non-communist free society.
@9G9C49K7mos7MO
Yes, but regulate any money exchanged from trade and tourism to ensure it isn’t put towards the Cuban government’s repressive practices
@5DK2YDR4yrs4Y
Yes, and it should have been done years ago. We should have had a McDonalds in Havana the day after the Russians cut off foreign aid to them. There is no argument for not doing so...if we can overlook the human rights violations of China, our largest trading partner, we can do so with Cuba. Cuba represents a new market for American products and services, which is good for our economy. Further isolationism will gain nothing (how's that working out with North Korea?).
@598KZPH4yrs4Y
That is because Obama is stupid. Cuba did their own thing and wanted to be on their own. Let them suffer and fail until they realize they need us and decide to become part of the USA as a state. In turn, we can enforce the same laws and so forth over there as here and build a base there.
@4XYL4N64yrs4Y
Yes, and pay restitution.
@94SWRVH2yrs2Y
Yes, and apologize to Cuba
@599BDGR4yrs4Y
No, this will allow the U.S. to exploit Cuban farmers and workers.

No, lift the travel,food and medicine embargo,but do not allow trade until Cuba becomes a non-communist free society.
@8CL3F874yrs4Y
We should be politically allied with Cuba and the Communist Party
@8CH3R754yrs4Y
Yes, we should stay out of it. People should have a choice
Yes, but impose tariffs until they become a democracy and encourage the Cuban people to increase pressure upon the government.
@9CJ6CB62mos2MO
Believe me, that’s a misguided notion. They’re on of the most democratic nations in terms of constitutional law, their issue is internal corruption, something that we cannot fix by invading, pressuring, or forcing the Cuban government to break. The people WANT them, almost overwhelmingly in fact, and we’re intentionally ignoring that and orchestrating protests. I get that they have severe concerns of their government, but we need to table that until trade embargoes are lifted so they can actually afford to survive and grow.
Yes, and end the blockade.
@9GSGPR36mos6MO
The government does not have the authority to dictate to its citizenry where it may or may not travel, but the US should not allow trade until Cuba becomes a democratic republic.
@9GN5KWP7mos7MO
Yes, but regulate the money exchanged through trade and tourism to ensure it isn’t put towards the Cuban government’s repressive practices
@99DSCW31yr1Y
Yes, but don't endorse their government
@95K7BH72yrs2Y
No, but lift the travel,food and medicine embargo,but do not allow trade.
@8CWJC3S4yrs4Y
Yes. We a trade with China and Russia. I don’t see how reading with Cuba is any different. Certainly we can put significant limits on trade and issue sanctions or tariffs when necessary
@9D3RPBQ10mos10MO
All travel embargoes should be gone regardless of political ideology as long as it’s not harmful.
@9CDGDNX11mos11MO
@9BXXJ6R1yr1Y
Yes, lift all trade restrictions and add Cuba to NAFTA
@9BJCYN21yr1Y
Yes but if they violate any terms or are suspected or harboring terrorists, the embargo goes back into place.
@99MFTPG1yr1Y
No, this will strengthen the Cuban communist regime, which is hostile to American interests
@99JL6W81yr1Y
No he needs come back to being president
@98WMYYF1yr1Y
No, but allow it once Cuba becomes a democratic republic
@97YDBQR1yr1Y
Yes, but it should be tightly controlled and monitored, especially based on what is being moved.
@9FY58GG7mos7MO
Yes but only if Cuba improves its human rights. They have a right to be communist if that’s what it’s citizens want for the country
@VulcanMan6 7mos7MO
What part of Cuba do you think is communist..?
@9CJ6CB67mos7MO
I honestly couldn’t name much, most of the “communist” countries are not communist in theirselves, but countries RUN by crappy communists with few actual actions one could call communist.
@96GLZPQ2yrs2Y
No, but lift the travel,food and medicine embargo but do not allow trade until Cuba becomes a non-communist free society.
@96259PT2yrs2Y
No, but lift the travel,food and medicine embargo,but do not allow trade until Cuba becomes a non-communist free society.
@986CPGW1yr1Y
Yes, embargoes/sanctions only hurt civilians.
@8XCNTLD3yrs3Y
Yes. Despite the negative influence communism has had on Cuba, the U.S. embargo has had an arguably worse effect on the nation.
@8DDBRK64yrs4Y
Yes the economy would improve.
@8DHZCT54yrs4Y
I think we should have begun having talks with Cuban leaders to come to a political and economic compromise. This could lead to better relations and trade embargo lifting.
@8DGRF3M4yrs4Y
Yes, the domino effect that was touted in the 50's for communism has proven to be a farce. We have dealings with countries with dictators who have been added to humanitarian watch lists for the things they do to their own citizens. Bring on the cigars and classic cars.
@8D8XNQHRepublican4yrs4Y
Yes, trade with Cuba makes them less likely to side with our enemies.
@8CK9DSV4yrs4Y
Yes, lifting the embargo would boost our economy, and serve to support free travel between the two nations.
The only people suffering with an embargo are innocent citizens. Time to let this go like we did with Japan & Germany
Yes. The people of Cuba have suffered for so long due to no fault of their own. We need to show them we have interest in them, and their struggles.
@9MFBRSL6 days6D
Yes, but tightly regulate any money or products exchanged via trade or travel to ensure that they aren’t put towards the Cuban government’s repressive practices.
@9M3XVV92wks2W
Somewhat, I think that lifting the trade and travel embargo is a good idea, but I think some of Cuba's authoritarian issues need to be worked out before it's lifted fully.
